When you said you wanted to pick out where you went for your date, she didn't expect a skating rink.

It isn't like she didn't appreciate your choice, in fact she adored the idea.

She just didn't know how to.

Momo timidly slides the skates on, eyeing how quickly your fingers were tying the laces. You briefly look up, shooting her a sweet smile. She flushes, picking up the pace.

"You ready?" You say, getting to your feet.

"Y/N, I don't know how to skate." She says.

"That's alright, love. I got you."

"But, what if I fall?"

You pause briefly, skating a bit to her. She seemed troubled, an expression you weren't used to seeing from one of the top students in Class 1-A. You bent down, sliding her soft hands in your slight rough ones.

"That's not gonna happen, okay sweetheart? We'll take it slow."

Momo stares at you, wanting to find a lie behind those big eyes.

But, she couldn't find any. Just absolute adoration. So, she reluctantly agrees. You stand first with her hands still in yours and with some close calls, she was up to.

"You okay?" You whisper. She nods.

Sliding your hand around her waist, you guided her to the rink.

Couples sipping past, laughing as the wind pass through their hair.

Despite being terrified, she couldn't help but crave that happiness. Her heart blossoms in confidence as she took a daring step onto the wooden floors.

But, she didn't react fast enough to the wheels moving. She feels your arms grab a hold of her waist, pulling her back into your chest.

"Woah there champ, you almost went flying." You joke. She whips her head around, nose scrunched up as she sighs harshly. You laugh, pressing a kiss on her temple.

"Just follow my lead, okay Momo? I got you."

Her nails digs into your forearm as you pushed forward. After a bit, you fell into a slow rhythm, warning her ahead of time that you were turning.

"Okay." She wasn't a fond of turns. Your skates could ram into each other, tripping you both.

But, with time, her feet were beginning to understand. Left, pushing forward while the right slipped behind it to do the process over.

"There you go! You got it." You praise.

She giggles.

That's all you wanted to hear. Her little giggles that only really came out when she finally got something down. Pretty soon (maybe next visit), she wouldn't really need you anymore. Maybe, for balance purposes, but that's about it.

She was a fast learner. You could praise her endlessly for it, but part of you wanted this moment to happen everytime. Just being near her made your heart swell.

But, there was no time for thinking about the future. You need to worry about the here and now.

Her thumb soothed your skin, little hums left her lips as she sang along to the song playing overhead.

"Momo?"

She hums.

"I love you."

Her heart burst as soon as she heard your timid sentence.

"I... I love you too."

You chuckle.

You should take her out more often.
