Chapter 12

And That's the beginning of this story. It's a story you've heard a hundred times before.

Boy meets girl.

Boy falls for girl.

Boy turns out to be a centuries old vampire but doesn't tell girl.

Okay. Maybe not quite the same story.

Nick and Caroline spent the next 8 months falling deeper and deeper in love. The two were inseparable and were not only madly in love with each other, but were best friends at the same time.

Bonnie grew close to Nick as well, becoming incredibly good friends. It was interesting the first time Nick met her grams. Bonnie could have sworn they had met before but both denied it....

Matt, Tyler and Nick became a trio, famous in mystic falls. Best players on the football team, leading the school squad to a record number of wins and smashing it out of the park. They also became great friends. 

Toby and Nick got over the fight they had the day he and Caroline got together. They were thick as thieves once more, keeping their secrets whilst protecting Mystic Falls from the knowledge of certain supernatural beings who would become interested in it.

Elena and Nick never got on. In fact the two despised each other more than any duo in mystic falls. There was no better word for it than Elena was Nick's nemesis.

I wish I could tell you they all lived happily ever after.

That nothing else happened and that's where the story ended.

Unfortunately I can't.

I want to pick our story up again about 4 months later. 4 months before it happens. Before Nick disappears.

And, ladies and gentlemen, we are starting with a certain revelation that could turn the tides in mystic falls. Specifically the relationship of a certain blonde cheerleader and her boyfriend...

4 months before disappearance

Nik POV

"Okay I'm going to tell her" I decided. Stopping my pacing,

Toby jumped up and sighed, "Finally, now go!"

"Where?" I questioned, "And how? How do I tell the girl I love that I'm a monster?"

Toby placed both of his hands on my shoulder and glared straight into my eyes. As if he was trying to compel me, "Stop being a coward and tell your girlfriend you're a vampire you moron" He shouted, "You two know each other better than anyone. Well maybe apart from a few people, but they have advantages" He chuckled slightly at his own words before snapping back to the current topic, "But you know how to talk to her. Do it right"

"Right. Do it right" I sighed fiddling with my daylight ring that now sat next to a promise ring Caroline got me 3 months into our relationship, "Do. It. Right"

Toby slapped me around the back of the head and pushed me towards the door, "GO!" he shouted, ushering me out of the door,

"Okay Okay" I agreed running out of the house and hopping in my challenger, Care loved it. After an awful lot of persuading anyway.

The engine roared to life and I took off into Mystic Falls, aiming for the Forbes house. As I pulled up outside I sounded the horn as loud as I can. Immediately the blonde woman I had grown to love immensely ran out of the house and jumped into my car.
