Chapter 6

Nick POV 

"Hello Katerina" I greeted, 

The she devil quickly turned around to face me, I'd tracked her down to a flat just on the edge of Mystic Falls, "Nick" she gasped in fear, 

"Hi" I repeated. As she attempted to flee, I sped in front of her and pinned her against the wall, "I have every mind to end your futile life right here and now" 

Katherine kept trying to claw at my arm, so used to everybody being weaker than her in mystic falls, "Don't forget I am centuries older than you Katerina" I reminded her, 

"What do you want" She choked out, 

I loosened my grip slightly, "How do you know I'm not here to kill you right now?" 

"You would've done it" She stated, "You wouldn't deal with all these dramatics, you'd just do it" 

I pulled out a stake from my back pocket and impaled her in the stomach, when I finally took my hand away she fell to the ground, grasping at the stake, 

"Pull that out and I'll put one in ever limb and crucify you" I warned, "Now, I have some questions" 

"Off you go" Katherine grunted, she was paling already from the blood loss, 

"Now, knowing you you'll have had tabs on both Klaus and I this entire time" I thought aloud, "So I Imagine you already know my next question" 

She groaned as she leant up against the wall, "You want to know where your Uncle is" 

Nodding I reclined back on a chair in the corner, "Bullseye" 

"I don't know" She answered, 

"Oooh" I winced, "Wrong answer!" Another Stake was suddenly in my hand and then found it's way into her shoulder, "Try again" 

She managed to contain her scream, years of pain paying off in a high tolerance, "I've been locked in a tomb for ages, I lost track"

Sighing I removed one of the stakes, "Fair enough" then, grabbing the stake in her stomach I began twisting it, "Where did you lose track?" 

She seemed to think about it for a minute, "Somewhere in New York?" 

"What the hell was he doing there?" I scoffed, "He hates New York" 

She gave a shrug, or as much of a shrug she could manage in her injured state, "Fuck knows, he's insane Nick you know that" 

"He always has a reason..." I trailed off, "I'm guessing you haven't contacted any sources about his location?" 

"When I tried... they were all dead" She complained, 

Silence filled the room as I contemplated what she was saying, "He knew" I realised, "He knew you were tracking him but never did anything?" 

"What are you getting at?" She demanded, 

I shrugged, "I don't know, it'll come around eventually" 

"Fuck you" She groaned as I yanked the stake out of her stomach, "Just kill me, enough of the foreplay, get on with it!" 

I flipped the stake in the air, "Oh katerina, I should kill you were you lie" 

"If this is about that barbie doll of a girlfriend you have, I really don't care" she groaned, 

Once more I reclined in the chair, "That is only the beginning, everything you've done to me" I chuckled, "You're going to suffer before you die" 

I stood up pulling out my phone, "But I'm not the man who will torture you, no I know someone who would do a much better job" 

"You wouldn't..." She cried, "He'll kill us both" 

I sent the message to the previously blocked number, "Oh this would be worth it" I chuckled, "He knows what he's doing" 

In one last desperate attempt to save herself Katherine suddenly yelled out, "I have the moonstone!" 

I lowered my phone, as if I wasn't going to send the message, "Where" 

"I'll only give it to you if you don't message him" She demanded, 

Once again a stake ended up in her stomach, "Katerina" I chuckled, "You forget how well I know you" 

Reaching into her jacket pocket, I felt around until I found the object I was after, "You'd only keep something that precious on you" I pulled the moonstone out of her pocket and smirked, "Don't try and play me Katerina. I taught you everything you know" 

"Why..." She cried, "You loved me once" 

"Once" I agreed, "Years ago, but that boy died. This man, who stands before you" I gestured to myself, the full black outfit with a black cashmere coat was what I'd elected to wear, "Would love nothing more than to see you dead in a ditch" 

"I.... I'm sorry" She tried one last attempt, 

I shook my head, "Goodbye, Katherine" I spat, before grabbing her head and wrenching it to the side.

3rd POV 

A hooded figure entered Katherine's flat. He chuckled when he saw her body on the floor, neck still snapped, "Oh nephew" he chuckled, "What a present you've left for me"

The figure picked Katherine's lifeless body up with ease, retrieving his phone from his pocket, 

The address he was currently at followed by the word Katherine stared back at him. What he wasn't expecting was one more message to come through, 

"I have the moonstone. Next full moon, this ends. All of it."

Klaus smiled, "Game on, Junior"
