In a Basement Room
Queenie is carrying a tray of coffee and mugs toward a meeting room. Suddenly she freezes, her eyes widen, a look of terror across her face. She drops the tray as the cups smashed on the floor. An assortment of low-level MACUSA functionaries turns to stare at her. Queenie stares back, stunned before running away down the corridor uttering "Tina... Ophelia..."
In the MACUSA lobby
Ophelia retrieved her belongings and put them into her Mokeskin pouch which was petite but kept a lot of her things. She looked around for a moment saddened but torn to leave; she needed to help Newt, the creatures, Jacob, and as much as she would hate to say it, Tina. Queenie noticed Ophelia as she ran up to her "Ophelia! You're safe!" she exclaimed taking her arm "Of course I am. I can't say the same for the others. What's going on?" she asked as the lobby became crowded "Newt and Tina are going to be put to death... You as well... and Jacob... is to be obliviated" she exclaimed; Ophelia understanding due to Queenie's ability. She shuttered and then looked at Queenie "I need your help... I'm going to get them out... All of them..." Ophelia said with determination as Queenie nodded.
The elevator sounded as they look and saw Jacob being escorted by the Obliviator named Sam, Jacob looked terrified as Queenie ran with Ophelia to Sam "Hey, Sam!" she shouted. Ophelia stood by a pillar to avoid being seen by him "Hey, Queenie." He gave her a slight nod as she smiled "They need you downstairs. I'll Obliviate this guy" she said smiling as he eyed her a moment "You aren't qualified" at that moment Ophelia stepped forward almost as if she needed to "Hey Sam" she smiled as he looked at her a moment "Oh hello Ophelia" before he could say anything else "Does Cecily know that you have been seeing Ruby?" she said softly as Queenie looked at her in shock before she read his mind and her hunch was right; Ophelia read his mind. Ruby, a MACUSA witch, standing ahead of them, smiles at Sam and then them.
Ophelia looked at Sam for a moment before reading his mind again "I would hate to tell her but I would like him Obliviated myself.. he cost me my job.." she said in a serious tone as Jacob looked scared. Stunned, Sam backed away leaving Jacob with them as Queenie snatched Jacob's as the three marched across the cavernous lobby "Ophelia you could read minds?" Queenie asked as Ophelia stopped to look at her "I didn't know I could but I could hear him..." Jacob looked confused as she turned to him "It's not your fault... I don't blame you.. I had to say what I did so he would trust me.." she placed a hand on his shoulder as he nodded before they started to walk "Where's Newt's case, Ophelia?" Queenie asked as she looked at Ophelia "Graves has it.. and if he wants me dead then something changed"
