Epilogue

It has been a total of 5 years since Dalton and Nicolette got married. For a while Dalton was still working with Bud at the mechanic shop. But a little over 2 years ago, Bud unexpectedly passed away, it was determined to be old age. Bud's family decided that they were going to sell the shop. That left Dalton out of a job, but it wasn't for very long. Nicolette's dad, the Sheriff, needed help at the police station. Dalton didn't think he would be able to because of his past. Well the Sheriff was able to overrule it because he has seen how much he had changed since being with his daughter. So Dalton went through the academy and just over 2 years ago, he began working with him.

Nicolette is still painting but she isn't doing anything like she was dealing with the mayor, well former mayor because it wasn't worth it. So she is painting murals for expecting parents or murals for childrens rooms. Nicolette and Dalton haven't began trying to have any kids yet, but they are under the theory that if it happens it happens. Sheriff is ready to be a grandpa but he knows when Dalton and Nicolette decide to start having babies, he will be there just as equally to love on them. He is beyond thrilled that his daughter found someone who has truly made her happy even if he didn't believe in him at first himself. He is glad she went to bay for him more than he believed that Dalton was a good guy.

Sheriff has told everyone that Dalton is his hardest working deputy on the force. Everyone who sees Dalton can't believe he's is cop because of his checkered past and all of the tattoos. Dalton does at times get discouraged but he doesn't allow it to ruin everything he has built with his family.

They both got their happily ever afters all because Nicolette fell in love with a sinner like him!
