Chapter 19: The ball

The ball was in full swing. Everywhere I looked people were dancing or talking. I of course stuck close to one of my siblings, I didn't like being crowded. I followed behind Lijah at first but he started sanding with someone so I followed behind Kol who flirted with anybody and everybody. It was weird watching all the females blush and gush over him

With that thought in mind I glanced around hoping to find another sibling I can follow behind. One glance and I knew everyone was busy with partners.

"Someone get abandoned " turning around I couldn't help but smile

"Zoey"

"The one and only, haven't seen you around in a minute. How's my new bestie doing" she smiled at me before leading me to the side

"I'm still adjusting, how are you?" I questioned glancing around the ball room.

"Other then getting cheated on I'm good"

Growing I looked at zoey sadly. I never courted anyone before but I knew being cheated on was never good"well his an idiot"

"She actually, I'm a lesbian hope you don't mind"

A female likening another female was looked down upon in the village but seeing how everything had changed I guess people were more open to same sex courting. "I don't mind, it's her loss then"

I looked back at zoey who looked ready to cry"did I say something wrong?" I didn't know what to do or say. The only girl I ever saw cry was my sister and it was always over trivial things

"No your just the first person to accept me. My family thinks I'm weird, I know we just met but I can really see you as a close friend in the future. Your so easy to talk to "

Friends? I never had a friend other then Jermy but that was obviously a bust. "Yeah we can be friends, best friends even" at this point I couldn't stop smiling. Simone wanted to be friends with me and I was happy about that. Even if she was a girl it should be fine. With that we snuck off and grabbed a bottle of alcohol on the way out. It was all her idea of course considering I never drunk before in my life. My siblings would kill me if they ever found out.

"Ok so have you drunk before" was her first question. I of course shook my head no

"Your such an innocent bean, I shall corrupt you and turn you over to the dark side" she rubbed her hands together and smirked evilly. "Now since this is your first you may only drink a little for I have not explaining to your scary sibling in why your drunk"

Giggling I nodded "my sibling are not that scary by the way. You may even get along with them plus there charm won't work on you"

"Your sister charm just might she is fine as hell. Have you seen her ass" she had a dreamy look in her eyes as I started to gag

"That's my sister plus I think she has a crush on this guy"  my kind instantly went to Matt. I never met him but I have heard some things about him

"Guys are overrated, no offense I'm sure your fine but seriously I bet I can make a girl nine times happier with me" she winked at me

I was slightly confused on what she meant and it made her instantly crack up"your so innocent, I don't think I want to covert you anymore. We need to persevere you , your a smol bean"

Becoming even more confused I decided to shrug it off"your weird " I mumbled making her smile

"That may be so but now we are best friends and your stuck with me"

"I guess, want to go see the horses " I questioned glancing towards to stables.

"Yeah race you" with that's she took off making me smile but it quickly faded. The second I took a step towards the stables a wave of fatigue struck me. I was so tired and wanted nothing to do but sleep.

I tried calling out to zoey, even called my siblings names but no knew could hear me at least that what I thought before zoey popped up in front of me again

"Your not looking to good, I go get one of your siblings you stay here" I didn't even have time to respond before she was gone again. Sighing I sat down just as my legs have out. I knew I was going to pass out but why? Why was I so weak all of a sudden. Laying down the last thing I saw was the star filled sky before everything went dark

So you guys didn't want him to have a love interest so I gave him a best friend. What do you think about it? She's the same girl from the party he went to with Alaric/Nik if anyone wanna go see what I'm talking about if you forgot. What should happen next?
