True to my word I was dressed up and at the party Marcel was throwing. It was pretty boring considering no one my age was here. That all changed when I spotted my siblings. I knew they were up to no good. They could never behave so I knew this night someone was going to be a victim once again to there scheming.
"Why don't you go say hi" I barely glanced at Marcel knowing he was also watching my siblings
"You do realize there up to something " using my magic i turning both there drinks into water just because.
"Maybe but let me worry about that. You go have a good time" I ignored his words opting to stand on the balcony and watch my sibling drink water confused. Glancing around I noticed cami walk in. She was breathtaking and I knew right there and then Marcel was going to be sidetracked the rest of the night.
I never saw her come to these parties before and chopped it up to Niklaus doing. Yet it seems he may have fooled Marcel who was by her side in an instant."you idiot" I mumbled watching the pair dance with one another
That ended quickly when I saw the vampires walk in holding Thierry. Glancing towards Niklaus I glared and waited for Marcel who came storming upstairs "you killed a vampire" he snarled
"I did and I apologize, I don't know what came over me, I will take any punishment "
"Why did you do it"Marcel had calmed down a bit but I knew he was still angry
"My girl, he went after her"
A newbie vampire came upstairs at that moment and handed Marcel a paper. I glanced at it and frowned. It was a daylight spell. I glanced at Niklaus who was watching everything with amusement and instantly put two and two together
"He did it for love, you can't punish him for that." I mumbled looking at Marcel who glared
"Explain the spell the Henrik "
"Explain how a newbie vampire got so lucky in finding it, explain how the vampire would go after Thierry girlfriend knowing she's been feeding us information nothing adds up. " it seemed to click for Marcel but I could tell he was still conflicted "how about you also explain why Niklaus is talking to cami right now and how she's here when she never comes to these parties because it's not her thing" everyone was tense and glancing at one another curiously
"I can't let him slide not with everything going on-"
Sighing I started walking off"then your a fool not seeing all the sins pointing to a hybrid maybe your just hoping he has changed I mean he is your father" it was a low blow and I knew it. I didn't miss the glare he sent or the fact Niklaus was burning a hole through my head. If he wanted to play family win the original then by all means but that also meant he may just loose the vampires he has changed. Thierry was well respected and an inside man. The vampires will began to question things and I didn't blame them. Marcel was blinded not wanting to believe
But I knew better. Niklaus was after his life, if not for himself then for his child. He was a selfish bastard who thought everything belonged to him but in truth it didn't. I honestly felt sorry for his child. He didn't need to lead he needed to put down roots and be there for his baby mother and child not try to overthrow the king of a city. I did know one thing though. If Nik became king then I'll be leaving. I will not be here for his rule
