Chapter 21:family

Looking at my siblings I could tell they were worried about me even if they hid it well. They would each glance my way as they spoke to mother

"So your favorite son get to play sacrificial lamb all while hurting our youngest brother. Some big brother you are Fin" Kol snarled walking around the barrier

"Your brother understands the need for you all to perish as of Henrik he will live a full life once you all are gone" mother walked towards me wearing a small smile."this is only going to hurt for a little while " with that she touch the necklace she gave me and all I felt was pain.

I didn't even register myself screaming until she tried to hush me up with soothing words. Nothing worked as the pain continued to grow.

One second all I felt was pain and the next second she was ripped away from. I barely made out Fin holding her by her throat."you will not hurt him, I won't allow it"

Is Fin really going to help me? At this point I didn't know if I could trust him or not. Mother obviously could not be trusted as she hurt me but why? I just want my family and laying here watching Fin choke mother will scare my for life. At least that's what I believed.

The barrier was lifted and somehow mother disappeared along with it leaving fin,Lijah,Nik, and Kol behind who all was instantly by my side

"Everything hurt" my voice came out horse and broken from all the screaming. It hurt just to breath and I'm sure my siblings knew that. Lijah was the one to pick me up and speed me home. He laid me down on the couch as the rest of my siblings appeared in the room. Everyone looked heartbroken about the issue

"I'm so sorry" Fin stood by the door. He was the most heartbroken out of everyone."I thought what mother was doing was right but it was wrong, I hate what I am but that gave me no right to but Henrick in danger nor any of you"

"I should dagger for what you have done" Nik snarled pinning his older brother to the wall yet fin didn't fight."but I won't, you made a mistake but you fixed it in the end"

"We all know how much you loved mother" Lijah sighed as he looked at me."but today your proved you still care for us or at least Henrick more. We have to stop her before anything else happens"

I watched as Nik released fin and walked towards me ."I have been so blind, I really wanted hybrids and still do but not at the cost of you. Elena and her lackeys have to be felt with"

"So does that mean I can kill her for good?" Beka was almost out the door before Lijah stopped her

"Not tonight, tonight we rest I'll get Henrick to bed"

"Bath already started" Kol stood behind Lijah with a smile.

After everything that happened tonight I was content for now. My siblings won't fighting and seemed to have made up. Even though it took the betrayal of our mother and me being in pain I was ok with that. If it could bring them together even for just a little bit I was ok.

Lijah sped me to the bathroom and bathed me much to my embarrassment "I can bath myself" I whine as he started washing my back

"You and I both know your too weak to do that right now,just for right now let us baby you just for a little"

"I have been babied since you all came back so what's really changing " I smirked pushing his hand away"plus Beka already bathed me once and it was embarrassing enough now shoo" with a sigh Lijah left the room while I finished up. He was right that I was weak right now but that didn't stop me from slowly walking to my room and getting clothed. The second my head hit the pillow I was out like a light hoping tomorrow would be better
