Ever since we started this road trip I couldn't help but think that they were keeping something from me. Nik and Stephan would sneak off brushing any questions I had out the window. They looked to be on a mission and I was the only one out of the loop. I simply hated it
The secrets that they kept. I couldn't help but feel even more alone. I didn't understand half of anything around me and they were to busy to teach me anything. If anything I wished I had stayed with Lijah in Mystic Falls.
Glancing at the building Nik disappeared into I sighed. It was a bar and I was not aloud inside because of my age yet I feel as though he was hiding something more.
With that thought in mind I got out in went inside freezing at the sight of Stephan and Nik torturing a guy and laughing about it. I couldn't believe me eyes and backed out just as fast as I came in. Luckily no one saw me and I took off down the road as fast as I could. Why would he do that? I questioned myself tearing up.
He looked just like father on one of his worse days. That man I looked up to was gone and I didn't know what to do about it
"Henrick" looking up into Stephan eyes I backed away in fear
"What do you want" I questioned trying to control the fear in my voice.
"I saw you run. Klaus doesn't know yet but you don't want to do this. Nik will come for you and I can only imagine what he will do" he plead looking down at my with pity in his eyes
"What would he do" I questioned
"I'm not sure,maybe lock you up ,your an innocent kid and I don't want to see that ruin that just yet" he explained
"Is Elijah the same way, what about the rest of my family" I questioned glancing behind me hoping Nik was nowhere nearby
"Honestly I only met Elijah and sadly he does kill also,maybe less the klaus" he explained before picking me up
"Put me down,I don't wanna go back" I whined struggling against Stephen but considering his age and strength it did next to nothing
"And go where, you barely know anything about this time period and know no one here. It would be dangerous for you to wander around" He snapped opening the car do. I didn't even notice we made it back. Nik was still gone most likely inside hurting some poor soul
"Look Nik is gonna leave you with some friends of his considering we are going somewhere dangerous and he wants you safe. Can you wait that long because honestly I heard how you died and I doubt you want to tag along on this wolf hunt" I tense up hearing his words. Of course I didn't want be near any wolves on a full moon.
"Why are you guys looking for wolves anyways" I questioned confused. It was a death wish in my eyes and considering what happened to me I was rightfully scared
"You two look cozy" Nik snapped walking out of the bar. He glared at Stephen before pulling me into his chest."we have a long journey ahead of us so I'm leaving you with a dear friend for awhile" he revealed making me nod.
"Ok" I mumbled getting into the car followed by the pair of males who drove down the road. We stopped at a small apartment where a woman stood outside wearing a soft smile.
"Hello Ms. McNiel this is my little brother I was telling you about. I'll pick him up next week and call everyday to check up on him" Nik greeted giving the lady a quick hug before judging me forward. Something about the woman seemed off. As she looked at me I could see the distaste but she hid it well when Nik looked at her even putting on a smile but it was clear to me that she didn't like me very much.
"Wonderful, you must be Henrick." She greeted pinching my cheek." Let's get you inside and ready for sleep, I'm sure Klaus needs to hit the road" she added
I glared at her before looking at Nik who was already hurrying to the car. Whatever he had planned seemed important considering he didn't even spare me a goodbye. I followed the woman in the house before she shoved me into a spare room.
"Don't leave this room,don't touch shit and don't bother me you understand kid" she snapped as soon as she knew Nik was out of hearing range
"Yeah I understand " I snapped glaring at her. I could already tell we won't going to get along
"Watch your attitude kid or your regret it " she snapped making me glare harder. She scoffed before leaving the room. I finally got to look around and frowned. There was a mattress on the floor and that was about it. I hoped Nik came back soon, even if he was a monster I still missed him. With that thought in mind I laid down and let sleep consume me.
