Chapter 11: In the dark

The ride back to mystic falls were tense. Halfway through Damon joined the ride and kept throwing me dirty looks. I kept smirking at him even if I was truly scared. I didn't know what he had planned and honestly I didn't want to know.

I practically threw myself out of the car when we pulled up to the house and rushed inside only to be met with everyone else who stopped talking the second I walked in.

"Bloody hell they won't lying" that's all I heard before I was scooped up into the arms of my sister."All this time I thought you were dead. I was the worst feeling ever" she mumbled into my hair.

I knew by the sound of her voice she was crying and it made me sad knowing it was my fault to begin with."I'm here and I'm not going anywhere " I mumbled hugging her back

"Cute family reunion but we got a plan we gotta put in motion, you know a hybrid to kill so if this could hurry along" Damon's voice cut through in all its glory.

Pulling apart I couldn't help but roll my eyes. He was getting even more annoying as time went on."fine but Henrik you should wait upstairs " Rebeca states looking down at me sadly

"Why is that,why are you trying to kill Nikky" I questioned finally realizing why she was here.

"There's things you don't know and I want it to stay that way for now " Rebeca looked away as if in pain. Something that confused me even more

"Go Henrik, your too young for this" father snapped glaring down at me softly.nodding my head I went upstairs. I know not to argue with him when his mind was made up. He never hit me like he did nik but he was still a scary man.

I walked into the first room I saw which by the looks of it was Damon's making me groan. I didn't want to hear his mouth even more but I didn't feel like moving to another room even if his was messy.

I waited about thirty minutes before Rebecca walked in holding a plate of food" let's go eat in my room, your catch something in here " she's states looking around in disgust.

Nodding I followed her further down the hall to a cleaner room that just screamed her. It was girly for one but I didn't mind as I jumped onto the bed and ate the plate she had given me.

She bathed me next which I didn't want her to do but the look in her eyes told me she needed me close. She scared to loose me again that much I could tell. Just to ease her mind I let her do whatever even dressing me. I know she could see the scars from the abuse as well as the wolf bites when I was mauled

"What happened to you" she mumbled making me face her. Tears were already streaming down her face making me frown.

"Nik left me with someone when he went hunting for wolves, she won't a nice lady" I mumbled out. I didn't want nik in more trouble but I couldn't lie to my sister not when she looked so sad

"He is so careless, this will never happen to you again" she finalized "I won't let it even if I have to go to war with the world itself. I can't loose you again" she sobbed hugging me close to her body.

I instantly hugged her back."time for me went pass fast but for them it was year even centuries without me. Thinking I was dead so I understood why she was being clingy , even more so on why my brothers seemed protective, even attempting to keep me in the dark about a lot of things.

"We won't loose him again" glancing up I watched father walk into the room. His eyes were trained on me."I will protect him"

Something inside Rebecca snapped and she turned around sneering at him."like your protected us" she snapped

"You chose your side. You chose a monster now you finally see him for what he is" he snapped back before glancing at me again"he knows nothing. I'll rather keep it that way for now"

And just like that I was being put in the dark again. I hated it honestly and I hated how everyone wanted Nik dead. What could he have done so badly I thought before getting in the bed. Rebecca got in with me and fathers retreating footsteps was the last thing I heard before sleep overtook me
