It was two day since I last saw Nik. Elijah kept disappearing but would always come back and make sure I was fed and safe considering he moved me back to Nike's apartment with the doppelgänger that he seemed to hate for whatever reason.
Luckily I haven't seen Damon around. He honestly scared me even when I try to hide it. "Henrick" I heard Nik yell and couldn't help but smile. I left the room I was in and raced into the living. "Nik" I screamed hugging him once I saw him."where were you" I questioned. I almost thought that he abandoned me but I know he wouldn't do that. His my brother after all and family stick together.
"I had business to take care of, speaking of which can you wait outside I need a quick word with Elijah and Stephan" sighing I nodded. I gave Elijah a quick hug before leaving the apartment. Soon after the doppelgänger came out and sped off before Nik followed suite with Stephan who looked to be in pain and had blood all over his mouth.
I frowned looking up at him confused." Why is there blood on your mouth" I questioned before glancing at Nik who sighed
"Listen we are vampires and have to drink blood to survive but we will never hurt you ok" Nik mumbled pulling me into a hug. I could only nod my head. I trusted Nik and knew he wouldn't hurt me."it's time to go"
Pulling away a looked at him confused"go where" I questioned
"For a little road trip now go get in the car" with that I went downstairs and got into the car. I didn't have to wait long for Nik to join me along with Stephan but I didn't see Lijah anywhere.
"Where's Lijah " I glanced at Nik who simply looked away
"He won't be joining us" I couldn't help but pout. I would rather Lijah joined instead of Stephan
"His not saying bye" I asked looking at him sadly. Nik frowned and seemed to not know what to say
"He told us to tell you bye and to be good right Nik?" Stephan piped in glancing at me from the front
"Yup so listen to your big brother so he don't ground you or something" Nik added on ruffling my hair in the process. It sounded off. Nik looked nervous and Stefan wouldn't meet my eyes. Everything was just changing so fast and once again if left me thinking to the time everything was simple.
The only thing I had to worry about was father loosing his temper or the other kid trying and failing to pick on me.
The ride was quiet other then Nik mumbling things under his breath here and there and typing away on his phone. Something that intrigued me but I didn't want to ask for one. I didn't want to burden my brother at all yet I couldn't help but be curious on where we were going and why
I could only hold my breath and hope it was safe. At least safer then mystic Falls with Damon Salvatore running like a headless chicken
