Walking into the grill the next day was nerve wrecking. I didn't know what happened at the dance last night but the glare on Damon's face when he saw me told me nothing good. It also didn't help that Jeremy was nowhere to be found and I ditched Nik well at least tried to considering he walked in seconds I did. He gave me a pointed look before going to the bar where Damon and Alaric sat."honestly you could be nicer" I mumbled knowing he could hear me.
Sighing I sat at a booth and ordered a cheeseburger and fries. I have it to actually try the meal but they didn't have pizza and that was the only thing I was introduced to by Jeremy so far.
"Did you know ?" glancing up I was met with Jeremy glaring down at me. "You played us for fools" he added making me grow and put my burger down
"I don't understand?" I mumbled glancing at Damon who now doubt was ease dropping while talking to Nik
"Nik was in Alaric body, you knew and was helping him" The accusation was false and I couldn't help but glare back
"I found out he was in his body for what reason I still do not know. I didn't play anyone for a fool Jeremy bold of you to cause that of me when you barely know me" I snapped pushing my food away. I had somewhat lost interest in it."this is my first time seeing my brother and I don't know how long I was asleep for" I watched as his glare soften and he sat down
"Look Henrick they want to lock you back up, I don't want that for you, your just a kid who has yet to live in this time period but I have to protect Elena" he mumbled . "She wants to talk to you for some reason"
Shrugging I stood up just as Nik walked over followed by Alaric and Damon."Nik can I go with Jeremy"
"Absolutely not,I just got you back and I'm not loosing you again if they decide to hold you hostage " He snapped glaring at Jeremy who was slightly hidden behind Damon"but-"
"Henrick do you not understand how we felt when we thought you died centuries ago only to find you now alive and in good health. No one in the family is going to want you out of their sights and I'm seeing now your going to need ground rules cause you just don't listen" Nik at this point and as glaring at me. He didn't care for then onlookers
"I do listen" I snapped back
"Is that the reason you snuck out the morning cause you 'listen'" he snapped back grabbing my hand"I'm not taking any chances especially with them" Nik snapped glaring at Damon
I sighed pulling my hands out of his"I'll just go home" I mumbled before storming out of the grill. I felt trapped and was confused by everything. I barely know anything about what a vampire is other then the fact they have good hearing and strength that surpasses a human. It was infuriating to say the least and when I saw Elena driving pass with Elijah in the car I had to follow.
He was my brother after all and I lost definitely saw his dead body in a coffin. Walking up to the house so saw them enter I knocked on the door. An older woman answered and smiled down politely to me." Hello miss I'm looking for Elena."
"Of course she right through here" she let me in no questions asked which was a little strange but at this point everyone was strange. I followed her into a sitting area where Elena sat with Elijah
"Lijah " I questioned smiling as he turned to face me. The look of surprise quickly settled in the features.
"How?" He mumbled before glaring at Elena"what games are you playing at"
I couldn't help but roll my eyes "it's not a game. According to Bonnie I have been asleep in a cave for centuries and was awoken somehow" that all it took for Elijah to appear in front of my and scooped me up into a hug
"You don't know how much I have missed you little brother" I hugged him back before pulling away with a frown.
I glanced at Elena who looked away looking guilty." I saw you in a coffin dead, how are you alive" I questioned
"I was in a sleep state with a dagger in my heart. I was not truly dead" he explained glancing at Elena with hard eyes.
"Sorry to umm interrupt but won't Kluas come looking for you" Elena questions
"Maybe but I really don't want to have to talk he want to have with me" I mumbled out annoyed
"And what talk is that"Elijah questions taking a seat in front of Elena
"He says I don't listens and need ground rules. When did he become so controlling" I huff out glaring at the floor
"Well ....you snuck out this morning" Elena mumbled giving me a pointed look.
"Who told you that lover boy number one or lover boy mumbled two or was it your boring history teacher maybe even Jeremy who seems mad at me for what I still don't understand , you guys are j-"
"You still ramble" Elijah mumbled smiling softly at me
"So I've heard" I mumbled rolling my eyes
"Don't roll your eyes at me Henrick" he quipped giving me a pointed look.
"Yeah yeah, I should get back before Nik has my head"
"Be careful and don't anger him too much" Elijah advised. He didn't seem to want to me to go of the look in his eyes said anything. I nodded and let the house. I went back to the apartment where Nik stood with his arms crossed glaring straight at me.
"Where where you" he snapped almost growling at me.
"Went for a walk calm down Nik I'm fine" I snapped but that only seemed to pissed him off as he grabbed my arm and dragged me into the back room.
"Do not leave this room" he snapped closing the door. I was pretty sure I heard a click behind him when he closed the door making me sigh." Your being annoying " I yelled
"And so are you" I heard him yell back before everything went quiet. Great I'm locked inside a bedroom and the door locked. I simply made myself comfortable and laid down to sleep. Dealing with an overprotective brother was tiring and now there was two and I'm pretty sure there fighting and I wanted no parts of it
