The lawyer found a loophole because Leo never actually said that he understood his Miranda rights.
Flashback to Leo's arrest
"Do you understand the rights I have just read to you?" The agent asks before opening the front door. Leo clears his throat and nods and Agent Collins leads him out to his car.
End flashback
Leo knew exactly what he was doing because the officer needs verbal confirmation to show that the person understands their rights. He was so caught up in the moment, that he didn't take the time to properly arrest Leo, so everything that Leo confessed to cannot be used against him in the courtroom, and since there's no other physical evidence except for the pictures, the case might get closed. Leo is not completely cleared yet, but if there's no further evidence to prove that he's guilty, then the case will close.
What will not be closed are my legs, because I missed my man and I'm going to show him just how much. I'm still debating if I should tell him about the dream yet because I don't want him to get mad or ruin what we have. But I will just have to get a feel for the energy and decide at the moment.
Everyone drove to the prison to pick him up, but I am in a separate car alone because Leo will drive back with me to dinner. That and I want to stay away from his dad.
As I arrive at the building, I see Luciano park, and I park a couple of spots away from him. Bella comes out of the car, and we are all standing waiting for Leo to come out. My anxiety starts rising up because it's been a while since I've seen him, and I still feel guilty about the dream. I know I miss him, so I'm very excited to see him.
After a couple of minutes, the lawyer comes out, and Leo walks out behind him.
Goddamn, he looks good. for some reason, he looks bigger. Has he been working out in there?
He doesn't even look like he just got out of prison. Yep, I definitely don't want his dad because my panties are getting drenched just by seeing him walk across the parking lot, looking all manly and powerful. Oh, he can use me any way he wants-
"Papa," Bella yells out and runs to Leo to meet him halfway. Her voice snaps me out of my dirty thoughts and his face brightens up when he sees his daughter.
"Angioletta," he bellows and picks her up from the ground. "I missed you," he laughs as he hugs her. His eyes fall to his dad and he walks over to Luciano.
"Figlio," his dad yells out and they laugh together. I purposely hid because I wanted him to spend time with them first before I steal him away.
"You did good papa," Leo tells Luciano, referring to getting him out and getting a good lawyer.
"Where's my wife at?" He yells in a joking matter and I laugh out loud. My laughter carries to him and we finally lock eyes.
I watch him lick his lips and put Bella down. Luciano takes Bella and they go to his car, as Leo walks toward me. His eyes travel all over my body. They go up, down, and up again. I know I look good too because I decided on a white and blue outfit.
