"Hopefully nothing goes wrong."
"We don't need you being such a pessimist Zach! Look, the leap is already done!" Tyler yelled behind him.
The crew slowly unfastened themselves from their seats as everyone gathered to look out at the space they see before them. It was a beautiful sight to behold, small little cheers were heard throughout the crew, it was fair to estimate there excitement being over the moon, or passed the Andromeda Galaxy in this case.
Everything at this specific moment felt very calm. Now that the crew had completed their first leap through space half of the journey was completed. The Mission was already half way completed. The crewmembers started trickling out, some staying to look after the command center.
None noticed the flashing light on the console.

"Most of our chores on the station are finished, now we sit back and relax. Zeke, Armen, and Caine stayed back at the command center." Carmen mumbled to herself as she wandered the station.
Really and truly most of the crew never had a chance to explore the station, under such short notice of saving humanity they didn't have that luxury. A small price to pay for the mission, that was what the thoughts of most of the crew had. At the present moment though, Carmen was thoroughly freaking out, she turns any situation into a worse case scenario. The horror novels she read as a child did not help the situation.
"You don't need to be bothered the entire trip, relax yourself Carmen." A hand was on her shoulder, she had lightly jumped before processing what her friend had told her.
"You're right," she turned around to her friend "Hey Izzy, has anyone found anything interesting to do on the station?" Carmen asked, as far as she was aware the best thing to do was sleep, be at the command center, and eat.Izzy shrugged before responding "Nah, I think Zach had found some sort of 'game room', but he went back to the command center for the time being."
Carmen just sighed and continued walking, Izzy joined in and they both continued to walked around.

"Hey Charles mind running diagnostics on the station for me? Wanna make sure The Leap didn't scramble any of our systems." Armen asked before Charles had the chance of walking out the door.
"Yep! On it right now," Charles happily went around the command center, nothing peaking his interest, a red light blinking did catch his eye.
"Hey Caine! Any idea what this switch was supposed to be?" Charles questioned still staring at the light. Caine and Armen both walked over to the light.
"Crap, communications got scrambled, gotta send out Jacob or Tyler to fix it." Caine sounded pissed, it was fair though, the communication devices were one of the only ways to reach their boss. Without the communicators they could he considered dead in the water.
"Tyler and Jacob come to the command center ASAP." Armen spoke into the intercom mic.
"They should be on their way soon, Charles was there anything else." Caine stated, not questioned, but stated."Besides that attitude of yours there wasn't much else." Charles snickered, he loved teasing Caine. Caine could be a mean person in Charles eyes, but he knew he meant well, hopefully.
