The Box - Sonadow Fanfiction

Revelation

Tails decimated the stack of papers on the table, reading through them at incredible speed as Eggman watched on, intrigued by the panicked and worried reaction.
Tails kept muttering quietly to himself, repeating statements like "not possible", "what the fuck!" and "no way!", torn between finding this horrifying and absolutely invigorating as the scientist he is.
Amy, Knuckles and Stix watched the two and were growing rather impatient as Tails dug his face into the document, seemingly not stopping to breathe. They to wanted to know what the Doctor had to say, and didn't often see Tails this shocked.
Eggman crossed his legs, waiting as the fox put down the last piece of paper in the stack and looked to him, "did you know the serum would do this?" He said weakly.
Eggman shook his head passively, "not at all. It was designed, by my grandfather, for Shadows DNA. Sonic was simply.. collateral."
Tails quivered, "it should be impossible, it's changing his internal structure completely, there's nothing like this anywhere on the natural planet."
"And yet here we are, fascinating isn't it? I wanted to tell the hedgehog first but he wasn't home," he chuckled menacingly, "must have gone to see his little boyfriend."
The fox smacked a hand to his forehead and rubbed it down his face, groaning as he tried to process this unforeseen event. What was he going to tell the others? What was he going to tell Sonic? How was he going to tell Sonic?
Eggman turned the chart with Sonics xray towards him, "at least he hasn't formed any ovaries yet, he's safe for now."
Tails peaked through his fingers, "safe from... what?"
"Pregnancy, of course."
"Oh God, that can't happen can it?"
"I don't see why not. Oh the horror!" He giggled, marveling in his grandfather's, and his own, genius.
"Anyway, I'll leave you with all this. Probably better to have proof, he's going to be in incredible denial." Eggman stood up and yelled for his robot minions to follow him as he walked away from the table and the sweating little fox.
The rest of the team were instantly rushing towards Tails, who noticed from the corner of his eye and swiftly gathered all the papers, hiding their contents in his arms.
"Tails! Are you okay!" Amy asked, looking questioningly at the stack.
"What'd the freak want?" Knuckles smacked his fists together.
Tails choked, "it's.. just wanted my opinion, like he said.. haha.."
Stix put her hands on her hips, "then what are you hiding?"
Tails shook his head, "I- I can't show you guys.. not yet at least."
Amy put two and two together, "it's about Sonic! Is he in danger?"
"No! He's okay!" Tails held the papers tightly as he stood up, "but I do have to go see him. I'll call you guys later!" And with that he ran off towards the direction of Sonics hut.

Shadow and Sonic were napping peacefully on the homemade bed, listening as the waterfall fell into the pool. Sonics head was nuzzled between Shadows arm and the side of his chest, one knee propped up onto him.
Shadows body was slightly turned into the blue one, chest rising and falling softly. Neither of them had slept this well in days. The warmth from the water spread throughout the cave, it was the perfect atmosphere.
They were woken up groggily by the sound of Soncis communicator beeping wildly, Tails' ringtone played loudly.
"What do they want?" Shadow groaned, squinting at the light that came off the device.
Sonic pulled it close to his mouth, keeping his tired eyes closed. He pressed on it.
"Hey Tails, what's u-"
"SONIC YOU NEED TO COME HOME ITS AN EMERGENCY I'LL MEET YOU AT YOUR PLACE I HAVE SOMETHING TO TELL YOU IT'S REALLY BIG!"
"Wh-what?"
"I KNOW YOU LEFT AND IF YOU'RE WITH SHADOW BRING HIM TO!"
Shadow muttered something about an annoying little fox.
"Ok- uh- give me a minute."
"NOW!" The device went quiet as Tails hung up.
"What does that pesky boy want?" Shadow said, sitting up to stretch.
Sonic was still laying with his eyes closed, "I dunno." He yawned.
Shadow bent over and pecked his lips, "come, the sooner we get this over with the sooner we can come back."
Sonic squinted, "you actually want to go?" He asked.
Shadow pulled him up by the hands, "you don't? He said it was an emergency."
They got to their feet, Sonic stumbled in his tired state, "if there was any danger he would've led with that."
Shadow took his hand, "well, let's go find out." And he blipped them away in a bright flash.
