Rosie was over the moon.
It had been a week since she has been back in Kentucky.
She had got one call from Calvin every morning asking how Hunter was.
Ofcourse he had to scold her first after leaving like that without a word even of he was out of the continent.
Her relationship with Maggie was still on the rocks, and maybe just maybe...
She would never again talk to her again. Especially now when she was proving her wrong.
Joshua Stone was out of question the best man she ever had ...
Showering her with flowers and chocolates...
In deed he was just her boy next door.
The first time he visited her was the second day she arrived in Kentucky. To say she was flabbergasted at his sight by her door when she ran for the door bell was an understatement.
Josh had brought wine for Mr hunter, flowers for Petra and chocolates for Rosie. He had a likable personality so every one immediately liked him.
When he left for New York that evening Rafe smiled at his daughter
" He likes you"
" I don't know dad... He never told me " she blushed
He chucked " it wasn't a question Rosie"
Rosie blushed crimson.
Later that night she received a call from Calvin.
" You are going out with the white boy?"
She sighed. Well it was now or never.
" Cay"
He was quiet, maybe Waiting for her explanation she guessed.
" He is a great guy... And he hasn't asked me out yet... So, um we are just friends?" Even she heard how her tone sounded unsure.
" a guy, flew from New York... With bunch of goodies... To see his friend?"
" You are just being dramatic... Like Megs" she bit her tongue...she didn't want to tell him about it. About her "sleepover" thing
" You fought with Margaret?"
She sighed" girl drama... Don't worry, but she doesn't like Josh too... It's crazy"
" If Margaret doesn't like this guy then definitely something is off about him"
She rolled his eyes, Calvin always took Megs side. He always had this thing for her and even if they hid it so well she could pick out that they had couple of flings before.
" No she's not right"
" Peanut, Margaret likes all men."
" Except my boyf--- I mean except Josh"
He sighed " okay... I want to see his white ass loving my family correctly"
" You're just racist" she teased
He chuckled... " Hmm... I've never really been a fan of white stuff..."
She laughed. " Get some sleep Calvin"
" Oh no... It's morning here...you get some sleep"
Rosie hadn't been letting Rafe do any work realy. Well except for the days when Josh visited..
Even when he insisted that he only had a twisted ankle and wrist she kept him in bed rest, strictly.
After two days Joshua visited again. Unannounced
This time he was just in time for break fast.
" Honey get the door"
Rosie wiped her hands on the apron . Then took it off
Ofcourse she did not expect Josh again he only left two days ago.
But upon opening the door and meeting his golden smile her heart leaped.
