I sat, huddled under my soft luxurious blanket. I had pulled it up to my chin. Inside, my small body squirmed to get into a comfortable position. My cheeks which held tears that had long since dried were getting drenched by new ones.

I huddled closer and wrapped my arm around Teddy, relishing the familiar way it tickled my skin. My stomach grumbled loudly. It was one of the main reasons I couldn't get sleep since I had gone to bed hungry. I didn't want to be friends with that meanie. He always treated me like I was a piece of poop. Snatching my toys, making fun of me with his friends, and calling me weak.

Father said we would be married in the future, but I'm not sure what it means. But daddy had been so mean to me when I told him I didn't like Stephen and didn't want to be his friend.

Moonlight dimly lit the room and reflected off the walls.

They were green in color. I argued with daddy telling him I wanted blue, but he hadn't listened. Just like he didn't listen to me about anything else.

Footsteps thumped against the floor and came to rest right in front of the bedroom door. A man rapped against the door and screamed, "Leah, come down for dinner. NOW."

"I don't want to eat with Stephen." I heard myself shriek.

"If you don't open the door this instant, I will break it open." He threatened.

I threw my blanket and ran towards the door. I stood on my toes straining to reach the handle, while still clinging to the teddy.

The door swung open to reveal a tall and stout man. He had bands of muscle lining his biceps. I strained my neck looking at the giant man.

Just then, Stephen came running towards my bedroom.

I quickly hid Teddy behind my back, but it was a futile effort. He had already noticed it.

"I want that bear!!" He shrieked.

"Share it with him, Leah," Daddy demanded.

"Daddy please!" I sobbed.

He tore it away from me and held it in such a strong grip, I was afraid he would squish it. I tried in vain to grab it back from him. He gave it to Stephen -who gave me a victorious smile- and ran away with it.

"Treat Stephen nicely, Leah. He is so fond of you that he insisted that he eat dinner at our house." He yelled.

He then dragged me down the hallway, despite my pleading and arguing.

My eyes flew open, the faces from the dream already fading away. I lay there for a while in the comfort of my bed. Getting used to the sunlight seeping through the gaps in the curtain. The clock read 6:54 AM. I slowly extracted myself from beneath the sheet.

I threw on some pants as I made my way around, guessing where other clothes were strewn. Collecting them before I threw open the curtains.

A groan sounded from the bed at the sudden flood of light. I turned to the sight of a beautiful ass staring back at me. One of the long beautiful legs joining it was covered with the blanket. I went to the bed and lowered my body on top of Natalie's. I positioned my palms on either side of her shoulders and lowered my lips to her ear. And nibbled it. A small chuckle rose out of her.

"Time to wake up," I whispered.

She turned around, exposing a radiant smile. She pressed her lips to mine. I deepened it, my thumb stroking the side of her cheek. I flipped her over and on top of me hearing her pealing laughter as she threw her head back. I curled my fingers around her neck, and as I went in for another kiss, she placed a finger against my lips.

"You may have a break before your next tour, but some of us need to work, babe." She chided. I put up a pout but let her get up anyway. As she took a bath, I made my signature pancakes by pouring batter onto the pan, flipping it over, and sliding it onto a plate before I drenched it with maple syrup, and added some whipped cream on top.

With a plate of pancakes and a steaming mug of coffee, I served Nat. It seemed like she just inhaled the food. One second, the plate was full of pancakes, and the next, she was downing her coffee.

"Nat, slow down." I laughed.

"No time. Have to get going." She grabbed her heels, gave me a hasty kiss, and rushed out the door to the elevator.

I laughed and headed to do my workout.

My flat had a bedroom, a bathroom, a living, and a kitchen. Since there was no place at my flat, I had taken a temporary membership at the nearby gym. I lost myself in thought as I ran on the treadmill. It kept running to the dream I'd had the previous night. I don't know any Leah, then why was I getting a dream about her? It didn't make sense. After that, I lost myself in the exercises.

After I'd made my way back home, taken a long shower, and had breakfast, I made my way to buy groceries, roam around town, and meet a few old friends. At night I had reserved a table-- just for me and Natalie-- to go for a dinner date.

We had been dating for the past year or so. We met when I had come home last time from the army. She was there at the nightclub, dancing her way to the bar. We'd shared a few sensual dances, and a lot of kisses and finally ended up entwined with each other in her bedroom. From then on, we met every time I came home from the army. Even if it was for a day. It all ended up the same as that first night. On the bed. Well, not always. Sometimes it was in a dark alley. Or the bathroom.

I wasn't sure why, but for some reason, I didn't feel like asking her to move in. Probably because we had met like a year ago. I still hoped it would happen one day. Though I don't even know how I'd do it. I'd just received information before I left for Phoenix, that we'd be leaving for Afghanistan soon.

I'd best enjoy the time I have left before I leave for the tour. Relaxing was the keyword here.

And nothing was more relaxing than eating good food, getting plenty of rest, and having sex.

Even while I thought this, a part of my brain kept luring me toward the dream I'd had the previous night.
