She dragged me into the men's restroom, which was thankfully abandoned. Would have been extremely awkward to explain.
Leah pushed her hair back and muttered fuck fuck fuck... holy fuck under her breath.
"What do I do? What do I do?" She repeated under her breath and I figured if I didn't stop her soon enough, she'd go into a panic attack. I grabbed her shoulders and turned her to face me.
"Calm down alright?" I told her. She took a few deep breaths and visibly calmed down. But I could tell she was still tense with the way her eyes darted back and forth between the door and me.
"Who was that?" I asked, dreading the answer I already half knew.
"Stephen." She said through clenched teeth. "But how did he know I was here?"
Once again, I didn't need to answer. Heavy footsteps made their toward us. I grabbed Leah's hand and pulled her into one of the empty latrines and bolted the door shut. I heard the door swing open with a whoosh and Stephen and his gang charged inside.
There was a moment of silence before a deep voice cut through the silence, "Check thoroughly."
Leah shifted closer to me. Oh crap. This wasn't going well. Then I did something that might have been the only thing that saved our lives. Whether I liked it or not? Let's not get into that.
I lifted Leah with my hands, gripping both sides of her waist and hoisted her onto my chest. Thankfully, she got the cue and wrapped her arms around my neck. I braced my hands against the wall, as Leah wrapped her legs around my waist.
Now, even if the guy peeked, he could only see my legs and not Leah's. I noticed the guy peeking under the door. I kicked the door, much to the guy's surprise, who scrambled back.
"You got a problem mate?" I asked, in my most threatening voice. Bad guy-2 roared with laughter.
"We don't have time for this! Is she there or not?" Stephen screamed.
"No sir, she isn't." Bad guy-1 answered.
"Her friend must have lied to us!" Stephen snarled. The three then left, completely forgetting me. Just how I wanted it.
I breathed a sigh of relief. Just then I realized that Leah was still clinging to me. Her arms around my neck, legs around my waist. The fruity smell of her perfume making my mind spin. Her soft hair was pressed against my cheek with her chest flush against mine. A breath left my lips, making the hair at the nape of her neck stand at attention.
She tilted her head back, her brown eyes wide. Her lips parted slightly, releasing a hot breath that tickled my skin. We were barely inches apart. So close. Yet, felt so far. If I waited anymore, every cell in my body would just combust. I closed the gap and caught her lips in mine.
