I sulked in the house for a few days. I decided that I wouldn't let this drag me down. An interesting thing that had happened over the past two days, was that I felt more like... me. I still didn't know what had happened, but I don't think this was something you could google. People could actually see me now, but surprisingly did seem to recognize me. According to them I was the owner of this house. I didn't complain since it helped me. A dead guy suddenly alive, wasn't easy to explain.

Other than dying and coming back alive, I was kind of normal. Well, that was just the complete opposite of normal, but you get my point.

So, I had decided to spend my time going to the movies, an amusement park or a pub. Something to while the time away. To be honest, I was just scared. I had no idea what was even happening to me. Don't think you can exactly deal with this by popping a pill. The only support I thought I had, happened to be fucking with another guy.

I just wanted to find some meaning in life. Well, afterlife really. But let's not get into the technicalities. My morning went in stacking up groceries. Is it weird I was still hungry after this entire death thing? Zombies for one, were hungry.... So were vampires.

I decided to try stuff I had never tried before. Sushi. Types of seafood I never knew existed. Cotton candy. Don't ask me if I've never tried cotton candy before, okay? I hadn't. I was very health conscious.

Before long the sun had already started to set. I wanted a last bout of fun for the night before heading home. Even death didn't teach me patience.

But if I'm being completely honest here, I was scared. Not only because I didn't know what was happening. I was scared of what would happen from here on. What would I do? I didn't want to be completely alone. It was.... depressing. I didn't know what to do. And especially after seeing what happened with Natalie. I didn't have anyone I could trust. I was all alone in the world. And not knowing what was happening to me and what I was supposed to do, I was terrified. A million other emotions churned along with it deep in my gut.

I headed to the most popular pub in Phoenix, finding it extremely crowded. No surprise. I finally got in after waiting for an eternity. Perks of being dead, eh? I suppose that was one plus. Time wasn't a constraint. Or it was, I wasn't really sure anymore.

The entire place was packed with swaying bodies in time with the beat. I made my way to the bar, wishing for something strong. Everything in a pub begins at the bar. A toast with your friends, loosening your body to get it ready for the dance. I ordered for a whiskey and was downing it, just as someone crashed into me. I turned, a frown ready on my face.

"I'm sorry." She slurred, clearly too drunk. She was hot in a wild way. Her hair coming off in dark brown waves. Thin eyebrows. Beautiful long lashes. That was all I could notice before she tripped into me. Well, more like fell into me. She was waaaayy too drunk. She braced her palms against me, her long and slender fingers tipped with manicured nails, bunching up my shirt slightly under them, before straightening herself and pushing through the rest of the crowd to heading outside.

I was about to order another drink. But something screamed at me, asking me to go after her. I sighed and got up, heading outside. The streets were completely deserted. The only sound was of the thumping music inside and distant honks of vehicles passing elsewhere. She was nowhere to be found. I cursed silently. Just then, I heard indistinct voices nearby. It was in a dark alley. I made my way into it, stepping into a scene I hadn't quite expected to see, but made me thankful I had come.

The same girl from back at the bar was there. Just that, now I found that she was pinned by this drunk dude and cornered by his friends.

"Leave me alone." She hissed at him. He still kept going closer to her. That was when she kneed him in the balls.

Damn.

The man reeled back, screaming in pain. His toy definitely would have some.... malfunctions in the future. One of his buddies helped him. Totally useless, as far as I knew. The other guy pinned her again.

That was when an involuntary chuckle left my lips. All 3 of them spun around to face me, the guy she kneed, still trying to get a sense of his surroundings. The two guys rushed at me. I let an irrational rage consume me, quickly breaking the first guy's arm. Kicked the other guy's knee. It bent completely backwards, probably shattering his kneecap making him collapse in a heap. I caught hold of buddy #1 and flung him into the wall. He hit it with a sickening thud. I spared a quick glance at the girl. She had sat down near the wall. That worried me.

The guy who had first pinned her, took that chance to attack me. It was futile. You couldn't exactly kill a guy who was already dead. He looked at me with shock. I hadn't even flinched at his attack to my head.

"Not cool man." I told him, just before I snapped his hands, the snap that ensued echoed off the walls. I socked his nose, feeling the nose break under my fist as blood erupted from his broken nose. The irrational rage I felt? Yeah, that compelled me to continue the onslaught instead of finishing it here.

I headed toward the girl, who was just slowly assessing the situation. Her eyes flitted to mine. I tried to give her a reassuring smile. But her eyes widened upon seeing me. Before I could figure out what it was, she started to faint. I knelt by her side, supporting her.

I let her slide down onto the pavement in a more comfortable position, and felt her neck. She was fine, it was probably the alcohol. I looked around. No one was there. Ugh. I fished around in her purse and got her driver's license, some credit cards, a photo of her, some cash and a lipstick. I took a look at her Driver's License, and my heart jumped into my throat.

Leah Adams??

As in the one who would appear in my dreams? What were the odds of meeting her here? Anyway, that had to wait for later. Her address showed Albuquerque. Definitely couldn't drop her there.

I lifted her up, one of my hands supporting her back and the other one supporting her legs. She snuggled closer to my chest and muttered something incoherent. Teddy, if I wasn't wrong. The dream I had more than 2 months back flashed back in my mind. I shook it off. Nothing weirder than dreaming about someone else. Unless you were having a wet dream, which I would totally entertain.

I took her back to my flat and to my bedroom. I laid her down on the bed noticing her heels. Damn, fine I had to do it. I unclasped her heels and set it aside. Something a boyfriend would totally do for his overly drunk girlfriend.

I covered her with the comforter and left the room, flicking the lights off. Which was also something a boyfriend would do.

Looked like I was crashing on the couch tonight.
