It had been a year since the singularity and this time instead of Ronnie who died it was Stein. Eddie and Stein will never be forgotten in team flash. Caitlin and Ronnie are still married and everyone had failed to mention the fact that Barry and Caitlin had a relationship, as bad as it was for both of them. The constant fighting and then the constant yelling. They still tried until Ronnie came and they decided to be friends.

They were in the cortex trying to figure out a way to stop Zoom. When Barry gets an idea. "I think I need to go back in time" Barry announced to the rest of the team

"No" Caitlin said

"Just here me out, I need to get faster and no one knows how to do that better than Eobard Thawne. I need to go back to a time when we didn't know who he was and he needs to teach me how to get faster" Barry said

"While you waste your time doing that, I am going to go find my daughter" Harry said and left the cortex

"We are not going to be wasting time because eBarry isn't going to travel back int time" Caitlin said

"Cait--" Barry said

"No do you remover what happened last time you went back in time you almost changed the entire timeline in a day thinking about how much you could do in a year" Caitlin said and Barry looked at Cisco for support.

"She's not wrong" Cisco said

"Yeah but then I didn't know what I was doing, now you two can help me with a plan" Barry said

"Yeah, no absolutely;utely not" Caitlin said and stormed out of the cortex

"I'll get her" Ronnie said and Barry stopped him

"Please let me" Barry said and found her outside the lift just standing there. "Cait"

"Don't even start with me" Caitlin said and you could see the tears forming in her eyes "Are you dumb or are you dumb going back in time"

"Cait, I have a plan" Barry said. His voice was so soothing it was almost therapeutic to Caitlin. His soft gentle voice feels like a warm bear hug.

"A plan, Barry a plan isn't enough when you are going back in time, there are too many variables, too many things that can go wrong" Caitlin said

"But what if we do it right?"

"If Barry, if" Caitlin said

"do you have problem with me?" Barry asked "ever since the singularity you've kept your distance and you've shut down everyone of my ideas and claim that its Ibecasiue its too dangerous but there is another reason behind it isn't there?"

Barry then saw the look jin her face and she was looking at the ground biting her lower lip. Barry could tell he was right and needed to find out what it was. "There is reason behind it. What is it?"

"Barry" Caitlin was about to start but was interrupted

"What is it?!" Barry asked raising his voice a little and she scoffed

"Just drop it ok!" Caitlin said matching her tone

"Caitlin, what is it?" Barry said calmly coming closer to her

"Barry I can't do this anymore ok? I can't pretend that I wanna hold you even though I'm with someone else, you're always stuck in my head and I can't get you out of it, I just want to go back to you. I know we ended things because we had to but you could break my heart in two and I wouldn't care because when it heals it beats for you. I know how it sounds and I know it's forward but that just how I feel. ok?" Caitlin said admitting her true feelings

"You still?" Barry asked and dint have to finish the question and Caitlin nodded "This whole time?"

"Yeah" Caitlin said

"I know we never got it right but I am just replaying everything we had in my head because I loved every moment of it. We have unfinished business and I know that was mim fault because I got married to Ronnie but I can't stop thinking about you." Caitlin said and Barry's silence made it pretty clear he didn't have much to say so she was about to turn around and walk away when he said something.

"I regretted it, when we, us, we had to end it because I knew we could've been more, we could've been so much more and I wanted to be so much more. It's funny because every time I see you I just want to wrap my arms around you and kiss you and usually you husband comes in the room and doe sit instead and all I can think about is what I would do to be able to do that. I can't stop thinking about you either Caitlin Snow." Barry said and she turned around to be met my his lips and she couldn't hesitate kissing him back. The two of them were just there in that moment holding each other when they heard footsteps they broke apart. it turned out to be Joe as he was about to go to the station. 

"Hey, I'm gonna go to the Station are you gonna come?" Joe asked Barry

"I'll come later there is something I have to deal with first" Barry said and Joe walked past the pair and into the lift as Barry and Caitlin went into a more private area. Both of them just looked at each other and sighed. "We can't do this even though we want to" Barry said

"Why not?" Caitlin said

"You have a husband" Barry said

"I can get a divorce" Caitlin said

"Cait your not getting a divorce" Barry said

"Why not I love you and I wanna go back to when we were together" Caitlin said

"Cait we can't, us getting together effects everything. It's going to effect the team and if the teams is not in sync then..." Barry said and Caitlin finished his sentence.

"People die. Yeah I know Barry but all of us are always sacrificing something for the city and just once we should be allowed to be happy" Caitlin said and Barry just pulled her in for a hug.
