Caitlin and Barry are getting serious with their relationship and both have never been happier. "Hey babe" Barry said to Caitlin who was sitting in the mains section of the cortex. He gave her a kiss on the cheek and then put her morning coffee next to the work she had on the desk.

"A check on the kiss that's really all I get?" She asked and he just smiled and gave her a long kiss and she cupped his face leaning into the kiss.

"Is that better?" He asked after he ended the kiss but still kept his face close to hers

"Much better" She said with a smile and kissed him again. Both were smiling and then Cisco came in the cortex and says what he says every morning.

"I've told you guys a hundred times no making out or getting frisky in the cortex" Cisco said and sat on one of the chairs in the cortex and had a liquorice in his mouth. 

Both Barry and Caitlin rolled their eyes and Caitlin just responded with "We weren't making out it was just a kiss"

"Sure" Cisco said eyeing the couple and then spinning in his chair

"I gotta get to work, love you" Barry said naturally but they hadn't said it to each other so they just looked at each other awkwardly when Barry sped away.

"That was awkward" Cisco said and Caitlin just glared at him

"Thanks for that information" She said sarcastically and then out her hands in her head

"Do you love him?" Cisco asked and Caitlin took her head out of her hands and gave him a angry face that said she was clearly not happy right now "I'm just asking"

When she actually thought about the answer all she could think of was that she didn't know how she felt. "I don't know, do you think he'll break up with me if I don't love him?" Caitlin asked

"No, why do you think that?" Cisco asked

"Everything has just been so perfect, too perfect and I've just been waiting for something to go off, this is it, this is what is going to break us and he is going to realise that I am wrong for him and then he is going to break up with me and I am going to have to leave team flash because it  will be awkward and he can't leave cause he's the flash you can't exactly kick the flash out of team flash" she babbled

"Caitlin your getting paranoid, none of that is going to happen" Cisco said

"How do you know Cisco?" Caitlin asked hoping for some calming words

"because I know Barry and I've seen you two as a couple, like he said he loves you, he's not going to leave you if can't say it" Cisco said and the best friends gave each other a look of understand and Caitlin let out a breath she didn't know she was holding. The alarms went off and they were quick to inform Barry about the meta attack.

"I'm on my way" Barry said over the comm system as he made his way to the scene. When he got there all he saw was a meta human with fire powers threaten the citizens. "Stop!" Barry said

"Why do you get to have all the fun Flash?" The meta said "You're not the only one with powers to show off, now it's my turn to show the world what I can do" he then started firing shots at Barry who dogged them. He then started cleaning the remaining citizens especially since this was a populated area. When he saw one of the metas targeting a scared child Barry used himself as a human shield to save the child and fell on the floor and felt like a part of his skin was burning. "So flash how do you like it when you're the one the ground?" he said stepping closer toward Barry with flames coming from his hands. Barry was about to get up and speed away when something else hit him. Weather Wizard, after all these years he returned. 

"Oh my god" Cisco said in the cortex which was now filled with Harry, Iris, Cisco and Caitlin

"Come on Barry, I need you" Caitlin said under her breath as she saw the vitals in his suit spike and as as eh watched the CCTV footage.

"Well long time no see flash" Weather wizard said and blasted Barry again and this time her grunted in pain after being burned and whether wizard used his powers on him. The other meta then joined it and started using his powers on Barry as well. all they could hear in the cortex was Barry grunt and screaming in pain as they watched him be attacked bye both the metas. Caitlin saw his vitals spike. "Barry you have to get out of there!" She said over the coms but he couldn't even stand up. They didn't even get a response they just heard more of Barry grunting and groaning in pain. It stopped when Joe got the boot and used it to take down Whether Wizard and this seemed to have distracted the other meta so Barry quickly got meta cuffs and cuffed him using the remaining energy he had left. He then collapsed on the floor and Joe had to take him to Star labs. 

"He's barely breathing" Joe said walking in with Barry who looked like he was dead. 

"Oh my god" Iris said as they got him to the med lab. Caitlin did everything she could and it all seemed to be fine and randomly he stated flatlining. 

"He's flatlining I need a crash cart" Caitlin said and Cisco was the person to bring to to her and tears started forming in her eyes that she couldn't control. "Charging to 200" she said and was about to place the paddle son his chest when she noticed one of the cords wasn't sticking to his chest properly so when when she pressed it in properly his vitals were back to normal. She then just left the room without saying anything and satrted crying in the hallway. 

"Hey" Cisco said and came and sat next to her

"I was so scared Cisco, I thought he was dying and instead it was just a loose wire" Caitlin said and started crying on his shoulder.They stayed there for a little until they decided to join the rest of the people in the med lab to check on Barry. Caitlin took one of the wheelie chairs and sat next to him and heard his hand.

"Guys I think it's been a long day we should go home" Cisco said noticing that she probably wanted some alone time with him. All of the people in the room nodded and left. Before leaving, Cisco put a comforting hand on Caitlin's shoulder and said "If you need anthill I'm a call away" she didn't want to say anything so she realised with a simple nod. He then left and Caitlin just held Barry hand watching him like a hawk until he woke up. She had tears rolling down her face but she didn't care about herself at this stage all that mattered was him.

His eye started to flicker a little so she sat up feeling hopeful looking at the man she loves. "Cait?" he asked as he was regains his senses

"I'm right here" she said and squeezed his hand to assure him

"What happened?" he asked

"You got beat up pretty bad, you were barely breathing when Joe brought you in" Caitlin said "I was so scared"

"It's ok, I'm here now" he said trying to assure her that he was ok

"I love you, I love you so much Barry Allen and I was so scared to tell you but I was even more scared is that you would die without me telling you. I love you so much and you make me feel things i've never felt with anyone. I need you and I want to be with you until we are grey and old but I can't lose you, you can't let go." Caitlin said and tears were pouring down her face

Barry used the one hadn't that could touch her face to wipe some of the tears off her face and said "I love you too, so much, more than anything in the world Cait, I will never let go of you and we are gong to be together until we are grey and old and in fact when we are ghost. I am going to love yzouuntil my lungs give out because your love is more than worth its weight in gold. you're my everything, I'm never letting go" she then smiled ad stood up to give him a big long kiss. She then lied down next to him on the cot and they peacefully slept through the night.
