Chapter 50: A Surprise

I tyed the last of the blue ballons to a chair and smiled at my work. It took us about 2 hours to finish, but Shay's baby shower was all set up. Since it was a surprise, I asked Ryan to take her out for the day and bring her when we were done. Scarlett, Carly, Marissa and Taylor helped as well. Marissa finally forgave me for almost beating the living shit out of her.

"Okay, we're ready!" Taylor shouted.

"I'll text Ryan to bring her." I stated.

Brett: We're ready.

Ryan: Okay, we're on our way!!!

Everyone set down there gifts at the table near the food that Scarlett made. We all chatted together before Shay arrived.

While we were waiting for them to show up, I looked over at a familar picture on the wall. It was the one we got taken a few months back. The one with the blue paint on my hands and said "its a boy" with our sons name on it.

I smiled at it and thought about what it'll be like to hold him for the first time. What would it be like to kiss him and snuggle him? I was really anxious to meet him.
