I took a step out of my dads car and felt a werid pain in my lower stomach. I ignored it and continued to walk along side with my dad towards my house. He stopped me right before we could enter.

"Uh, just give me one minute." He kissed my forehead and ran inside.

I walked over to the stairs so I could sit down, but felt another pain in my stomach. This one was worse. I felt on the stairs and sat down, trying to stay calm. The pain was increasing. Then, it felt as if I wet myself, instead, my water broke. I was in labor.

   Oh shit! Not now!

I reachd in my purse to find my phone to call someone for help. The first number I saw was Bretts so I dialed it and called him. As the phone was ringing, I felt another contraction and lost grip of my phone. It fell down the stairs and the screen cracked. It looked like it still worked.

"Help!" I screamed out, but it turned into a yelp. I grabbed the railing in an effort to stand, but fell back down. I rested my head on the railing, praying someone would find me.

"Shay?" I turned around to the familair voice, it was Brett. He must've got my call and came to get me.

"Brett! Oh thank god your here! M-my water broke!" I was screaming at this point.

"Oh, uh, what do I do?!" He ran to my side and wrapped his arm around mine. He got me to stand.

"I need to go to a hospital, now!" I wanted to smack him for being so stupid, but I knew he was just as confused as I was.

"Okay, uh, come on!" He helped me down the stairs and lead me to his car. Once inside he called someone to tell them where we were going.

"Brett, why was I coming here?" I asked.

"It was your baby shower." He smiled at me while I smiled back until another contraction caused me to scream in pain. They were getting worse. Brett slammed his foot on the gas and made my body jolt back.

"Sorry Shay. I need to get you help right now." He put his hand on my stomach and smiled.

"You truly are the best." I smiled at him, only to be interupted by another contraction.

"It'll be okay." He rubbed my belly, somehow, it calmed the baby. He's going to love Brett.
