Jealousy?
"Miss Aya!" A voice calls out to me.
Right now, I was in the hallway, waiting for Lady Catherine, she said she had to "pick some flowers" though, I had no idea what that meant.
"Oh, it's you." turning around, I saw someone with familiar bright red hair.
Alfred Marti.
He looked a lot more confident this time, no sign of the meek person since I last saw him.
"Hmm, looking great, huh?" I said while observing him top to bottom.
His build back then wasn't bad, but it lacked a solid foundation. Now, he has that.
"Yes! I trained hard for this... And it's all thanks to you, Miss Aya!" he then proceeded to bow deeply in front of me.
"W-why are you bowing? I didn't do anything for you."
"But you inspired me! So I thank you for that!" then he proceeded to bow one more time.
"Fine! Fine! Stop already! So, your match is later right? Break a leg."
"Yes! Are you planning to watch, Miss Aya?"
"Yeah, it's not like there's anything else to do here anyway. Oh, and stop calling me Miss Aya, just Aya is fine." getting called with an honorific by a classmate of the same age of mine feels kind of weird. Though in a sense it's not really weird since I'm mentally older than all the students here.
"I see! Then, Aya, see you later!"
"Yeah, yeah."
Alfred walks down the hall and turns right, disappearing from my sight.
"You can come out now, Lady Catherine."
"!? H-how did you know I was here?" Lady Catherine jumps up in surprise.
"Hmm, my Lady Catherine senses just turned on?"
"What in the world is that!?"
Though, I actually noticed that Lady Catherine arrived a little later than Alfred. Right around the time he was bowing deeply to me.
"C-commoner, I have a question. Are you close with that man?" Lady Catherine asks out of the blue.
"Hmm? What is this? Are you worried that I might get taken away from you?"
"No, I am not! And I do not own you in the first place! Geez, I ask you a simple question but you always decide to just tease me anyway! Hmph!" Lady Catherine crosses her arms, pouting.
...What is this? What is this cute creature standing in front of me? Cute!! I love her, I love her so much!
"Don't worry Lady Catherine, I'm not going anywhere, okay? He and I are just acquaintances."
"Like. I. said. I. Am. not! Hmph, let's just go to the stadium already!" Lady Catherine storms off but stops mid way and goes back to me, next to my side.
"I said, let's go!" then she takes me by the hand and pulls me with her.
If a person could die of happiness, I would have died a thousand times over.

Arriving by the seats, we met up with the rest of the team. Laura and The Prince were sitting together, in idle conversation.
"Where is the other one?" Lady Catherine asks.
"Hm, yeah, where's Sophia?" looking around, I noticed that Sophia wasn't here.
"Dunno, she left without saying anything earlier." Laura says, not taking her eyes off the playing field.
"That so?"
Lady Catherine and I took our seats and began to watch the match.
My eyes were naturally drawn to Alfred, as he was the only person I knew that was on the field.
Despite being in a team filled with nobles, they looked pretty close.
The starting sign flared up and they ran straight into forest.
It looks like Alfred's team doesn't have a scout like Laura, so they're going in blind.
A few minutes had passed and the two teams crossed paths, their clash happened earlier than expected. Alfred was unexpectedly the one leading his team. His leadership skills were good for a person of his age.
Using his magic, which was fire. He cornered the opposing team, cutting off their movements.
"Smart..." I let out. His aptitude with flame was rather strong, not as strong as Lady Catherine though. But, the way he uses it is very smart, and the way he commands his team is just amazing. He's strong. But, he lacks experience. I can find lots of holes in his defense, as well as the fake ones.
While watching, I felt a tug on the sleeve of my uniform.
"?"
Looking over, I saw that Lady Catherine was holding onto my sleeve.
"Lady Cather-"
"Don't mind me." she says as she just stares onto the field below.
"Bu-"
"As I said, Don't mind me"
"Is... That so?"
Once again, getting immersed in the fight. I observed, the opposing team was getting nowhere, and slowly but surely one by one the members were beaten.
"Victors! Team Alfred!" the current referee said aloud while waving a flag.
Teacher Loupe was not present as of now, if I had to guess. The noble probably disappeared. The same thing as last time.
"So it begins, huh..." the series of events that gave Sophia the name of 'Saintess'
While deep in my thoughts, Lady Catherine calls me.
"Hey, commoner, come with me." Lady Catherine says as she stands up from the seats and fixes her skirt.
"Sure~."
Standing up too and stretching my arms, I followed Lady Catherine.
Since some matches already ended, it was now our break time. The principal allowed us to walk around the property, just to sight see.
Lady Catherine brought me to a spot akin to a courtyard. The trees were finely kept, and the bushes had flowers blooming on them. A beautiful sight, and having to see Lady Catherine in the middle of it makes it better.
"Commoner, I won our bout remember?"
...I completely forgot about that!!! Lady Catherine was the one racking up points, and I just stood there!
"I remember..." I say with my face staring at the ground.
"Good! Then..."
What Lady Catherine said, honestly shocked me, since I didn't plan for it.
