Candace and Jeremy were sitting down at a two person table at a restaurant near their campus called By Chloe. "The food looks really good here have you been here before?" "Yeah, I've been here quite a few times and the food is pretty good." She nodded her head while looking over the menu. A few seconds later a waitress walked up to them. "Hi my name is Jasmine and I'll be taking care of you guys. Are you ready to order or do you guys need a few more minutes?" "Um I'm ready are you?" She asked
"yeah I'm ready." "I'm going to have the Mac N Cheese pasta with a coke"
"okay" the waitress said writing it down. "I'm going to have the classic cheeseburger with a coke as well." He said and she wrote down both their orders. "Okay I'll have your food and drinks out in a little bit" she said walking away. "So where are you from?" "Danville and you?" "Southern California" he said. "Nice" "Here are your drinks and food. If you need anything else let me know." "Thanks" they said at the same time. "Wow, that pasta looks delicious," "I know, so does our cheeseburger," he smirked. "I'll let you take a bite if you let me take a bite of yours?" "Deal" they both cut out a corner of their food and handed it to each other. "Wow that's really good pasta" "yeah so is this cheeseburger." They shared a laugh and began to eat their own food. It was about twenty minutes later when they both finished eating their lunch. "How long have you been with your boyfriend?" "Mm a little over four years" Jeremy nodded slowly. "So your high school sweetheart? What is he majoring in?"
"Umm.. well he actually isn't attending anywhere" she said a little bit embarrassed. "Hmm that's interesting so he used his parents money to come see you?" She rolled her eyes "No he's working as a mechanic" Jeremy chuckled while shaking his head. "What?" She asked. "Nothing, it's just... I don't know, it seems like you're out of his league." She laughed and was about to respond when she heard her phone blowing up with text messages suddenly" She sighed while rolling her eyes. "I should get going," he frowned but nodded anyway. "Alright I'll walk you back to your dorm" he said while she took out her wallet and left a ten dollar bill on the table as did Jeremy. "So I was thinking we could meet at the same time tomorrow for our project?" "Yeah sounds good" she said as he opened the door for her and began walking back to their dorm building.

"So do you have any siblings?" "Yeah I have two younger brothers there both the same age." "Oh cool, are they twins? And how old are they?" She laughed a little bit. "No one of them is my step brother and they're both fourteen. What about you?" "Yeah I have a younger sister, she's six years old" "oh yeah I think I saw her on move in day she's cute" she said and they continued to walk for a few more minutes in silence. Meanwhile, Candace kept repeating to herself in her head. "Jason! Jason! Jason! You're in love with Jason, he's the one you're going to spend the rest of your life with." As they walked inside the building and made their way into the elevators Jeremy turned his head to look at her. "So are you going to listen to him and stop going to the parties?" She sighed. "I don't know, would it bother you?" Jeremy smirked. "No, because if you were my girl I wouldn't have to worry since I would be by your side." She blushed as she moved a strand of hair behind her ear. "Well to answer your question no..  I'm not going to listen because last time I checked I'm not his property for him to be bossing me around." Jeremy chucked "hmm sassy I like it."
Candace blushed again as the elevator doors opened. "Hey what's going on here?" Jason asked angrily as she huffed, rolling her eyes at him. "Nothing! Relax, we just happened to live in the same dorm building." Jeremy cleared his throat "I'll see you tomorrow candace" he said walking away from them. "What! Why are you seeing him again?" "Jason let's just talk about this in my room." "Fine!" Jason said as they entered her room and he slammed the door.
"What the hell is going on between you two?" She ran her fingers through her hair. "Jason there's nothing going on between us, don't you have any trust in me?" He sighed in frustration "yes of course I do it's him I don't trust he's obviously into you." She groaned "Jason! Why do you care it's you I'm in love with" "I don't care candace! Your feelings for him could change." "Okay so you basically don't trust me then?" She said as she sat down on her bed. They both remained silent for a good while until Jason began speaking again. "I'm going to go for a walk. I'll talk to you later." She sighed feeling her eyes begin to get teary eyed. "Jason," she said. He turned to look at her for a second and then walked out of her room. "Oh how did this go so wrong" she said to herself.
