Candace had finished packing for Christmas break and sighed as she zipped up her last bag. She had done some thinking and if she was honest she was still confused. But she figured after being with her family and Jason for two weeks she would feel better and everything would be clear. She had been avoiding Jeremy solely because she didn't know what to say. That kiss...let's just say it would occupy her mind frequently. She shook her head snapping out of her inappropriate thoughts.
Vanessa had left earlier that day and Cabdaces flight left later in the afternoon. It was currently 11am and it was time to head to the airport. She left her room closing the door behind her. She spared a glance towards Jeremy's room and swallowed hard before turning to walk down the long hall.
She took a taxi to the airport where she made it just in time for her flight. She was sat right next to an elderly couple. They were adorable. The man who wore thick rimmed glasses and suspenders would often offer his wife a random pastry or piece of candy and she could always accept with a smile. It was as if he always new exactly what she needed...Candace hoped she could have that one day.She put on her earphones and tried to sleep the rest of the flight. A few hours later she arrived at Danville international airport. She followed the red crowd of people off the plane and looked around. Jason said he would be picking her up. She looked around but didn't see him. She stood there for a few minutes when she heard a commotion. "Candace! My baby is home" Candace grinned when her mom and dad pushed through the crowd of people. "Mom!" She ran and hugged her tightly. "Oh hun we missed you so much!" Candace embraced her mom, the feeling of comfort filling her body. "I missed you guys too"
Lawrence hugged her tightly as well and they driver get home. "I thought Jason was picking me up," She said, confused. Her mom smiled. "Yeah He said that something came up and he couldn't get you" Candace frowned curiously. "Oh...okay"About 4 inches of snow littered the streets and sidewalks of Danville. Everyone was bundled up in scarves and jackets. They arrived at the house and Candace smiled when she saw Phineas and ferb with a giant banner that said Welcome back! Candace laughed and went to hug them "you guys know I'm only back for a week right?" Phineas nodded. "Yeah but you still deserve a warm welcome."
Candace smiled and they all went into the house. "So tell us about your first semester, College girl!" Her mom said sitting in the couch followed by the others. Candace sighed. "It's a lot of work...but I made some friends and aced my first big project." "Oh that's great dear what was the project?"
"Oh it was a journalism project my partner and I had to find a scoop/issue on campus and present it it the class" "oh! Was your partner one of your friends?" Candaces smile faltered a bit. "Um..." *ding dong* just then the doorbell rang and Candace let out a relieved breath as her mom got up to go get it. "Oh hello Jason! Yes Candace is here, she just arrived come in"
Jason entered the room smiling with a bouquet of flowers. "Hey babe welcome back" he says, handing her the flowers and hugging her. "Thanks" She said, pulling back and smiling at the flowers. "We were just asking Candace about school" Linda said "but you two make yourselves comfortable and I'll go make us some lunch." "So Candace is college as hard as everyone says?" Phineas asked. Candace shrugged. "Well, depends i guess it's easier for some than it is for others. I have a few tough professors but other than that I really like it..." Her mind immediately wandered to all the study sessions she had with Jeremy. His smile and the way he'd sarcastically answer questions...and that kiss..."hey you okay? Your face is all red." Jason asked, concerned. "Um-Uh yeah It's just been a long day I should get some rest...jetlag..." He nodded "Okay well how about I take you out tomorrow night i've been saving up." Candace nodded. "Yeah sounds good" she gave him a kiss on the cheek and grabbed her stuff and went upstairs. She reached her old room and looked around taking in all the childhood memories it held. She took out her phone and texted Vanessa.
Candace: Hey Vanessa I know your on vacation but I really need your advice can you please call or text me whenever you get a chance thanks
