It had been 3 days since Candace had last spoken or seen Jeremy. He had skipped the journalism club and had been avoiding her at all costs like she was some kind of disease or something. It was really upsetting her the way he would walk in the opposite direction of hers and wouldn't even glance at her. She was laying in her bed thinking of a way to get him to talk to her again. She noticed he started avoiding her when she told him she had gotten back together with Jason. She sat up from her bed when she suddenly had an idea come to her mind. She was certain it would get him to talk to her or at least she hoped it would. She grabbed a couple of her favorite chick flicks and some snacks along with her favorite blanket. She walked outside of her room and walked a few doors down to his dorm. She thought about just barging in at first but then realized he could be naked or something so she decided to knock. It was a minute later she heard the door being unlocked and swung open.
Jeremy gasped slightly and then crossed his arms as he looked at her with a smirk "What are you doing?" She sighed giving him a smile "well I just wanted to say thanks for cheering me up that day when I was really upset and I wanted to return the favor" she said cheerfully. Jeremy rolled his eyes as he shook his head he couldn't say no to her not when she was giving him that adorable smile of hers and the fact that she was standing outside his door he couldn't turn her down even if he was annoyed at her for getting back with her boyfriend.
"Alright come in" he said, chuckling as she squealed and entered his room.

............

"So I brought some chick flicks for us to watch and I brought snacks!" Jeremy shook his head in amusement. "What are you doing here Candace? Like really" Candace looked at him sheepishly. "Well -um you just seemed a bit distant and I don't really know what I did wrong but I thought I could make up for it"
Jeremy sighed. "You didn't do anything wrong...well not really"
"Then why have you been avoiding me?"
Jeremy shrugged. He couldn't tell her that he liked her, that she was all he could think about since the day they met. She was back with her douche of a boyfriend and who was he to get in the way of that just because he liked her?
"You don't know?" She asked confused.
Jeremy sighed. "I just don't understand you...I thought I did but obviously not."
"What are you talking abo-"
"I like you Candace."
Candace clamped her mouth shut and stared wide eyed. Jeremy ran his hands through his hair in frustration.
Jeremy I didn't-"
"No Candace, it's fine. I mean I thought I made it pretty obvious but you got back with him and I guess that means you don't feel the same so I had to distance myself from you for a bit before I did something I'd regret."
Candace didn't know what to say. She kept opening and closing her mouth but no words came out. "Jeremy- I-I'm so sorry...I didn't know you felt that way..."
"Don't apologize" he said moving closer to her so now he was inches from her face. "Just tell me you don't feel the same."
Candace was silent. Her head moved a million miles per second. His scent was intoxicating and it made her thoughts cloudy. She looked up at his piercing blue eyes and they stared back at her expectantly.
"I....I...I don't know"
Jeremy scoffed. "You don't know?"
"It's complicated."
"Complicated? Candace, do you want to kiss me right now?"
"W-what?"
"Tell me you don't want me to kiss you right now"
"I-I can't..."
In the blink of an eye his lips were on hers she gasped into the kiss. Jeremy wrapped his arms around her waist and she put her hands on his chest as if to push him away but she found herself not wanting to. His lips mixed with his intoxicating scent had her knees buckling under her. He caught her though moving his arms to her thighs where he lifted her pinning her against the wall her legs wrapped around him instinctively. His tongue slipped into her mouth and she welcomed it eagerly, moving her hands to tangle in his hair.
He groaned as she tugged his hair. They separated their lips both panting heavily. Her eyes widened when she realized what she had just done. She wiggled in his arms, signaling him to let her go. He complied, looking at her curiously. "Um-I think...I think I should go..." her face felt hot as she didn't even bother gathering the snack or the movies she just left the room as quickly as possible. The door slammed behind her and Jeremy flinched. He groaned and leaned his forehead against the wall. "Great job idiot" he mumbled to himself.
...
Candace raced back to her room and shut the door behind her. She leaned against the door and slid down slowly. "What did I just do?" She asked herself. She put her head in her hands. She couldn't believe that just happened. AND SHE ENJOYED IT! A LOT!
Her heart was beating out of her chest and she felt like she was gonna be sick. She kissed Jeremy! Well he kissed her but she didn't stop him! How was she gonna tell Jason? He would never trust her again after this.

Jason. She loved him...didn't she? If that was the case why did Jeremy just make her feel twice the passion Jason ever did? With one kiss!
She took a deep breath.
Calm down Candace. Breathe.
She sat there for a while calming herself down.

She jumped when her phone rang. It was Jason. She groaned and answered it. "Hey" she said trying to sound normal. "Hey babe. What are you doing?"
"Um nothing, just got back to my dorm from...erm...studying."
Jason chuckled. "You're always studying. Make sure you take some time to relax...no parties though" Candace rolled her eyes. "Were you calling for a specific reason?" She asked slightly annoyed. "Oh yes! I wanted to let you know I can't wait to see you next week." Candace's eyes widened. Next week?? She looked at her calendar and sure enough Christmas break started next week. "Can't wait to see you either babe. But I- I gotta go, Vanessa needs my help with something." "Alright well I'll talk to you tommorow love you"
"Okay bye!" Candace hung up and let out a breathe this was gonna be the longest week of her life.
