"Hello Waffles." I said to my new cloud dragon. She smiled and shape-shifted into a plate of waffles.
"Waffles?" Brooke giggled, "Why did you choose that?"
"I just... like waffles I guess." Mist and Brooke exchanged shrugs. Wow, known her for a minute and now you're besties, Misty. Humph. We turned a few hallways until an opening into a humongous cafeteria. In the middle of the room was a salad buffet. Yum! I'm a vegetarian. A bar stretched the width of one wall, and one it were baskets full of fruits, Soda machines, and a ton of plates. Brooke walked to the food bar and looked up at a chalk board.
"Oh yes! Today they're serving beef stroganoff and meatloaf. I would recommend the beef stroganoff." Brooke picked up a plate and a lady came forward to the front of the serving bar. "Beef stroganoff, please." She said. The lady piled some high and Brooke smiled.
"Me too!" Misty exclaimed, delight crossing her face as she breathed in the smell.
"Would you like some?" The lady asked me.
"I'm okay, mam. I would never eat a cow that was probably slaughtered for it's meat." I told her.
"Oh miss, don't worry. We use stimulation meats, it's actually finely flavored tofu. I too, am a vegetarian." My eyes widened. Yes! I loved the taste of meat, but last year after doing a science project that required me to research the foods we eat and where they came from, I didn't eat another bite. She piled the stroganoff on my plate.
"Thank you, mam." I followed Misty and Brooke. Brooke led us to a table where a few other gray-eyed kids sat. They introduced themselves after Brooke ran over to her friends table, and Misty for some reason giggled when one girl named Cloud introduced herself. Weird.
