Chapter 9 ~ Is he your lover?

Vanessa's POV

I watched as Emma took her picture with Alfie and she came back to me very smiley and happy, I dont even wanna tell her, I know she's gonna be mad right away."

"What happened?" -Emma said when she saw me. Oh god, she knows me.

"I just got a text from Alex" -I replied.

"Oh god no" -She said immidiately.

Alex was my ex. Oh that rhymed. Well, he wasn't exactly my ex... we never "officially" dated, but we definitely dated, you know when you're seeing a guy and you go on dates and then...kiss? Without being boyfriend and girlfriend? Well thats kind of what it was. He was actually my very first kiss and my very first everything. Dont worry, I havent lose my virginity, but at everything else, he was. That was the first time I could actually said I was in love and i thought he felt the same way. Long story short, we had this beautiful moments and I was so happy all the time when I was with him and even when I wasn't. One day I found out he had a girlfriend... yes, he kissed me having a girlfriend, a jerk right? Well, I confronted him and he denied it of course, later that day, he sent me a text saying that it was true and he did had a girlfriend, he promised he would dump her because he wanted to be with me and being the stupid girl I am, I believed him. We continued seeing each other and then one day he stopped talking to me out of nowhere, I asked him what was going on and he said, and i quote "Nothing, we're friends right?". That killed me. I just said "Yeah...". And I left. I cried the whole way home trying to make my mom not notice cause she would kill me, she hated Alex cause I told her about his girlfriend and she said he would do the same thing to me but I didn't believe her at the time. A week after that, he was already seeing another girl, yeah, that was worse. Anyways, I was "over it". I think... It's only been 3 months...

"Hey, Nessa!" -Emma interrupted my thoughts. "What did he say??" -She asked.

"Oh yeah..." -I showed Emma my phone.

"From: Alex

Heeeeey, u think we can meet up somewhere? We need to talk x "

"You're not gonna answer right?" -Emma asked me.

"No...should I? I don't know..." -I said confused.

"Nessa! No! You should not! You have nothing to talk about!" - Emma said almost screaming.

"Okay...okay...I wont answer then" -I said looking at the text and then blocking my phone.

"Good...so, I heard Alfie invited you for dinner?" -She said smirking trying to make me smile.

"Oh god yes..." -I let out a small laugh. "You think Joe's gonna be there?"

"Of course he will!" -Emma said. "I dont think Alfie would have invited you if he wasnt coming. he has a girlfriend".

"Well, that doesnt stop some people you know?" -I said.

"Heey! Alfie is NOT like Alex!" -She said screaming again. Oh how she loved Alfie.

"I know, i know" -I laugh. "It was just a joke".

We were in line to meet Joe and Caspar now or Jaspar haha I was nervous cause I havent seen Joe since this morning and he wasnt even awake, hope this doesnt get weird. I decide to look through my phone while waiting in the line and found some of Joe ugly selfies that he had taken earlier this morning and I had to...

It was Emma's turn and Joe recognized her from earlier. Then just after that it was my time to "meet them".

"Helloo you!" -Caspar said excited.

"Hey Caspar! How are you?" -I asked smiling, trying not to look at Joe, I was so embarrased. I wonder if Caspar knows.

"Im good thanks, how about you?" -He asked.

"Im fine thanks" -I smiled.

"Just fine?" -Joe finally asked.

"Yeah, wasnt Joe's bed comfy enough?" -Caspar asked before I could say something. OMG.

Joe and I turned to look at him with a dead look on both of our faces.

The staff girl tell us to hurry and take the picture so we just posed for it as quickly as we could. I could see horrible looks from all of the girls on the line... this was not happening, i love Caspar, but why would he say that in front of tons of fangirls??? He has security guards, Im going out of here with my best friend and she's not even a little bit strong. The staff girl interrupted my thoughts and she took me out of there but just before I left Caspar asked:

"Are coming tonight?"

"Yeah probably..." -I said, Caspar smiled.

"Hopefully I'll...we'll see you there" -Joe said smiling. I smiled back and then left with Emma.

"Okay, lets go before they all start chasing you please" -Emma said joking.

"Yeah" -I laugh- "Let's go".

"I dont even know where the dinner is, how am I gonna get there?" -I asked Emma while laying in my bed.

"Just wait! Its still 5 o'clock... not dinner time yet okay? Relax". -Emma said trying to calm me down.

My phone then buzzed. Please be Alfie with the details of the dinner.

"@Joe_Sugg: @NessaParker Out of all, did you really have to post that one? Hahahaha"

"Omg, Joe replied to the picture I tweeted hahah" -I told Emma laughing.

"I just saw it" -She laughed with me.

Then my phone buzzed again, thank god its was Alfie!

"Hey, we're meeting at the lobby at 8 to go out and grab dinner, so come and join us :) xx"

"Yes! I finally got the dm!" -I said raising my hands and throwing my phone to the side.

"Told you you would get it sooner or later!" -Emma said laughing.

"Yes you did..." -I laughed.

We talked a bit and then finally picked up my outfit, it was hot so I wore some denim shorts and a nice tank top, I looked casual, not too bad cause I had makeup on. Then walked down to the lobby.

"Hey, you came!" -A grinning Joe said and then hugged me.

"I did" - I smiled back.

Everyone was here and they all greeted me, Zoe, Alfie, Tanya, Jim, Caspar, Louise, Troye, Connor, Tyler, Louis...

"We just have to wait for Marcus and Niomi, they'll be here any second" -Tanya said smiling.

My phone buzzed.

"From: Alex.

Don't try to ignore me, you know there's still something between us ;) xx"

"Uuuuhhhhh who's Alex?" -A smirk forms on Caspar's face as he says that out loud.

"Amm he..." -I said looking at Joe, he has this confused look on his face I can't figure it out.

"Is he your lover?" -Jim says joking.

"I..." -I try to say something but I just can't stop looking at Joe...
