Chapter twenty-three

Hermione's view 

It is now Sunday the following weekend the day of our wedding shopping day, we had made the invitations and sent a copy to Narcissa before sending to check if they were good. She said yes before we went down our list and sent our invitations out to our guests. We sent the invites out Friday and have already gotten most of them back, we personally handed the invitations to our wedding party, McGonagall's, and Hagrid's. When we woke up Sunday we heard knocks on our door, I raced out of bed to see who it was. "Morning sleepy head, we are all here. Get ready so we can leave, we have lots to do," Ginny says before walking in with everyone into our lounge room. I move back to our bedroom to wake Draco up and find he is almost changed. I move over to the dresser to find a dress since that would be easiest to take on and off at the wedding dress shop, since I am pregnant. We finish dressing before grabbing everyone and heading to McGonagall's office. 

"Good morning, everyone, ready to head off for an exciting day?" McGonagall greets us as we all pile into her office. "Yes, it is going to be a long day but very exciting," I smile. We head to the floo and Ginny, Luna, and I floo to the dress shop to meet Narcissa, and Theo, Blaise, and Draco floo to the suit shop. I give Draco one more kiss before leaving. When we arrive at the shop, I find that it is filled with so many white dresses unable to take in everything. I become a little overwhelmed, Narcissa sees this and comes over to me. "Are you okay, dear? Take a seat", Narcissa says concerned. Ginny grabs me a glass of water. "Thank you. Yes, it is just a little overwhelming so many white dresses. It's making me a little nervous, I am not having cold feet just the fact I am pregnant and getting married so soon and I don't have my parents," my eyes water a little due to the hormones. "I know dear, I am here and so are your friends, it is going to be a great day I promise," Narcissa says rubbing my back which helps me calm down. I nod, and then get up, "So, where do we start?" 

We go through lots of dresses, some sliming, some full of tulle, some with long trains. None of them feel right till I put one more on, it fits like a glove at the top, it is slightly sheer, but traces around my breasts, then has some silver on it, a white flower pattern on some of it. It is flowy but not over the top, there is tulle but not too much it is overwhelming, and it's not heavy to wear. Now, Ginny and Luna need to find their dresses. I take the dress off, changing back into the dress I walked in, I go to pay for the dress and Narcissa has already paid for it. "Narcissa, you didn't need to do that. I can pay for it," I say to her. "No darling, you will be part of the family soon enough so please my treat. I also asked that we could have one of the ladies arrive on the morning of your wedding to help with sizing since your tummy will have grown more by then. She is going to put a charm on it so that when you wear it will change sizes to fit your body correctly," she says giving me a hug. We then move to the bridesmaid area of the shop to find some dresses for the girls. Draco and I had agreed on the wedding party being silver and emerald, so the girls were going to wear silver, and the groomsmen would wear emerald, so they match us. My dress has silver so the girls will match me, and Draco would be wearing an emerald suit so the guys will match him in a way. 

We eventually find two silver silk dresses that are long and go just to above their ankles. We then go to find shoes and accessories. I get some silver block heel shoes, and the girls get some simple silver heels to match their dresses. I buy both of the girls matching necklaces with a personal note on them for each girl. We then head back to the castle as we have finished our shopping. I hug Narcissa on the way out and she says, "I have sorted the flowers they will be white roses with some greenery in amongst them". I thank her as I had forgotten about that. When we arrive at the castle, we see the boys are already back in my dorm. "So how did the suit shopping go?" I ask. "Great, we have been back for hours, what took you lot so long?" Theo said. "Well, we had to do my dress, which took the longest, then get the girls their dresses, before getting shoes and some accessories," I say, "also Draco your mother has organised the flower arrangements so that is another thing we can tick off the list. Now we just need to pick our rings up and wait for the day to finally arrive". We say goodbye to everyone as they all head back to their houses, and we head straight to bed exhausted from the day. "I love you Draco Lucius Malfoy," I whisper kissing him on the lips. "I love you too Hermione Jean Granger, I can't wait to call you Mrs Malfoy," Draco says kissing me back before we curl up in bed drifting off to sleep.
