As soon as I opened my eyes, pain shot up in every region of my body.

"The fuck happened?" I cursed aloud, oblivious to the sudden change of weight on the space beside me.

"Mhm, the fuck did happen."

Napatalon ako palayo sa kama nang marinig ang malamig na boses mula sa tabi ko. There, on the bed, sat a gorgeous lady with round eyes that seemed to pierce through every layer of my soul.

"For the record, my voice right now is your fault, Miss," paos nitong sambit bago ngumisi, "I'm pretty sure yours is in the same condition, too."

Napalingon ako sa nagkalat na damit sa sahig, magulong kobre-kama, at mamula-mula pang morenang balat ng babaeng katabi ko sa kama kanina. Holy crap.

"Please tell me we didn't-"

"We did."

"But I'm not the type-"

"Oh, you were, Miss. Last night."

Napapikit na lang ako nang mariin habang pilit itinataboy ang malakas na kabog ng dibdib ko. I can't deny my attraction to this girl but I sure as hell won't admit it to her face. I'm supposedly untameable!

"Tama nang drama, De Leon. We both know I'm telling the truth here- we had sex last night," Jho Maraguinot, one of the best student athletes and resident heartbreaker of our university, teased, "We both enjoyed naman so chill ka lang."

What the hell happened? Hindi naman ako masyadong uminom kagabi ah? Unless-

"I know that look of yours, De Leon." Jho left the bed, along with the covers sheltering her gorgeously toned body. "Wala akong kinalaman sa kung ano mang nangyari sa'yo kagabi. All I know is that you, out of nowhere, pulled me away from my date last night and kissed me like there's no tomorrow."

"Do you even hear what you're saying, Maraguinot? Me? Kissing you?" pigil na pigil sa paglakas ang boses na tanong ko sa kaniya.

Jho faced me and my mouth fell open as I saw the hickeys all over her soft skin- fresh purple marks that seemed to cause my throat to dry up like a desert.

"D-did- uh- I mean-"

"You've got quite the tongue there, De Leon, I'll give you that." Naglakad palapit sa'kin si Jho at pakiramdam ko'y pinagpapawisan ako nang sobra kahit alam kong naka-aircon naman kami rito sa kung saan man 'to. "You gave me the best night of my life so far so hindi kita aawayin today. So, whatever you say, go on, believe it. Hindi ako kokontra- Beatriz."

Naramdaman ko ang pag-init ng buong katawan ko na tila ba ako'y sinilaban nang hindi ko namamalayan. Tangina, Jhoana, what game are you trying to play?

I felt her cold yet soothing touch graze the skin on my back as her warm breath tickled my neck. "Hmm, Beatriz? Don't you have anything else to say?" Jho whispered, her voice dropping a few octaves.

Bago pa man ako tuluyang makalimot ay napatakbo ako palapit sa pinto at palayo sa kaniya. "Stay there, Maraguinot! Don't test me!"

Tinaasan niya lang ako ng kilay at mahinang natawa. "Why not? Maybe I want the punishment, Beatriz."

Fuck, her voice sounded like a choir of angels playing a symphony in heaven. Wait, huh?

Walang sali-salitang pinulot ko ang mga nagkalat na damit ko mula sa sahig, sinuot ang mga ito, at walang lingon-likod na lumabas ng kuwarto. I needed to go out as soon as possible- I can't breathe without breathing her captivating scent in this room.

"Bea? Sa'n ka galing? Bigla ka na lang nawala kagabi, gago, alam mo bang nagre-ready na kaming tumawag ng pulis?" nag-aalalang salubong na tanong sa'kin ni Pongs pagpasok ko ng classroom namin.

"Nowhere- I mean, I went home. I got drunk, I don't even know how." Kunot-noong nilibot ko ng tingin ang silid at napansing wala si Jho. Thank God.

"Huh? Ba't ka nagpapasalamat d'yan?"

"Ah, nothing. I'm just thanking God that He helped me reach home safely last night," mabilis kong sagot kay Pongs.

"Ooh, apparently, I'm someone's home already. That's fast!" Jho announced loudly as she passed by my chair. Tangina, ang lakas ng pandinig.

Nakita kong tumaas ang kilay ni Pongs nang lingunin ako ni Jho at ngitian nang napakatamis. "Pongs, it's fine, she's just being her usual asshole self."

Nanatiling nakataas ang kilay ni Ponggay pero tumango na lang siya bago umupo sa tabi ko. Hindi rin naman nagtagal ay isa-isa na ring dumating ang iba pa naming mga kaklase kaya't napuno na ng ingay ang classroom.

Jho, though surrounded by her usual circle, sneaked a few naughty glances towards me- to which I responded with a couple of eye rolls and disapproving grunts. In the end, she gave up entirely and shifted her focus to a new addition to their circle- Carly, I think.

I never thought Jho swung that way- well, sabagay, ako rin naman. All my life I thought I was straight. It turns out, all I needed were a few bottles of liquor and a gorgeous heartbreaker to become a bent ruler.

What happened between Jho and I- it was a one-time thing, I know... but I guess it wouldn't hurt if I tried to get drunk again tonight, would it?

I'll just drink enough alcohol to smell like liquor, fake being wasted so I could remember more of the moments that would happen, then find my sexy enemy-turned-crush somewhere amongst the ocean of sweaty bodies in the club.

I mean, how hard could it be?

Hindi naman siguro ako bibiguin ni Jhoana eh. Sabi nga niya, parehas naman kaming nag-enjoy. If that was true, I'll definitely see her lurking in the club, hoping to have a repeat of the amazing night we've had before- with each other.

I mean, I could definitely use one more wild night with her in the room where my drunken mind found comfort- in her room where my sober heart found love.

"Where do sober hearts go, Beatriz?" I remember her asking me as we reached our eighth release last night.

I hummed in response, too tired to even respond with something coherent.

"Because mine definitely went to you."

"Hmnom mno," I mumbled- ni hindi ko rin naintindihan mismong sarili ko. Ang alam ko lang, it came out instinctively. Whatever it was, it was my heart who wanted to say it.

"Cute," Jho cooed, "Hmnom mno, too."

I definitely remember having that conversation with her so hopefully, if God permits, I could tell her the right words this time.
