Waking up the next morning you looked around. And saw that you weren't in your own chambers at all but somewhere else entirely. The walls weren't the cream color of yours but a deep and dark red. So red you were questioning if it was paint or if someone just used blood to paint the walls of this room.

You shifted yourself up in a sitting position, moving the blankets from over your shoulders and down onto your lap. And your memory kicked in on how you got into this chamber. Paul. And he had carried you in after you both fed from each other in the library late the previous night.

Looking to your left all you saw was an empty spot on the bed next to you. But there was a note on the pillow.

Sorry to have left so early in the morning. You were sleeping so deeply that I didn't want to disturb your slumber. I'll be catching up on work this morning. If you need anything ask Eric for assistance.

-P.

You stared down at the scrolled note, your thoughts going to the passionate embrace you had found yourself in when you had been feeding on each other the night before and what the aftermath of that was once he brought you back to his chambers.

You felt your face get hot over the turn of how your thoughts were going, as a knock at the door startled you as you instinctively grabbed the sheets to cover yourself up.

"Yes?" You said trying to steady your voice to not sound so nervous.

"Are you decent? May I come in? Paul said that I would be at your disposal today," Eric said from behind the door.

"Yes well..." you started as the door opened up and you pulled the sheets over your naked chest more. Noticing Eric covered his eyes a second later.

"Sorry, when you said yes I assumed..."

"Well you shouldn't assume you know what people say about people that assume," you say as you get up taking the top over with you to wrap around yourself as you walk on the plush carpeted floor trying to find your nightgown you had been in before you left for the library.

"What are you doing?" Eric asked as you looked up and saw that he wasn't shielding his eyes anymore, but looking at you as you were staring at the ground. And it looked like he was questioning your sanity.

"I know pregnancy can make some act strange but..." he started as you smacked him square in the chest, hard. So hard that it threw him off balance and he had to catch himself before he fell over.

"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry. I guess I don't know my own strength at all," you said as you pulled Eric upright.

"No, no it's fine. You really don't know your whole strength though right now with teetering on half human half demon and everything," Eric said as he threw a black silk dressing gown from the closet in your direction and then turned his back towards you.

"I'll give you a minute and–"

"Technically do I really need to give you my time? Aren't I like the queen or something?" you questioned playfully as you put on the gown and cinced the sash tight before turning Eric back towards you.

"You aren't yet. And why wouldn't you want me to give me any of your time. My plan was to finally show you around this massive place. That is after you properly change into something before eating something," Eric said looking pointedly at your still slightly flat stomach.

"Ah, orders from the king of hell right?"

"Yes, but also you need to eat something, we will be walking a lot," Eric said as he spun you around and sat you down in front of the vanity. He snapped his fingers and a woman came in with a tray in her hands full of fresh fruit, and coffee with little containers for cream and sugar.

"Eat that, change and then I'll give you the grand tour," Eric said as he turned towards your closet, opening it up and looking at the clothes.

"Fine, but I'm probably going to need more than one cup of coffee–"

"No, not more than one cup of coffee, orders"

"Oh, so limit my caffeine intake but drinking blood is just fine?"

"I know it sounds odd, but yes. Something about you needing to stay human throughout the pregnancy and also something about your choice or something. Still not used to him being around so my attention span for the last centuries has been kinda crappy. But that's the gist of it," Eric said as he threw out a gown from the closet.

"Yes well that was before coming here. I feel like staying human here kinda defeats the purpose especially if I'm with him and everything,"

"He said it was your decision. But also limiting your caffeine is better, but drinking blood will help you and the child throughout the pregnancy. Besides the food that you'll still be eating. The consumption of blood is what the child needs as well for the development," Eric said. You picked up the creamer container and poured a considerable amount into your coffee cup, along with sugar as well. Slowly sipping at it as you looked at the reflection in the vanity mirror, watching as Eirc was still going through your closet.

"Nothing to your liking?"

"No, just wondering how they didn't get to change your clothes like you had asked. Trying to find something comfortable for you that's all,"

"Ah, because of the walking,"

"And because you are pregnant. Alot of these include corsets which aren't going to work at all," he stated as he tossed out another dress onto the bed, which you now realized was probably the no pile.

You downed your coffee and sighed, and got up from the chair and walked over to where Eric was still at elbow deep in dresses.

"Well, you know there is a dresser where I know there are y/n-approved attire. Since I talked to Paul about that. Because I wanted pants," you said as you walked over and opened up a drawer that had trousers in it.

"Oh, well there you go." Eric said with a shrug of his shoulders as he snapped his fingers and an attendant came into the room.

"Take these and dispose of them, they aren't to her liking," Eric said as he pulled out a top and threw that on the bed and grabbed a pair of trousers from the dresser and closed it, putting that on the bed as well.

"Change and then we are off to explore your new home," he said

You had never thought of this place as your home. Not at all. But you had only been here for a couple of days. Maybe you can learn to love it. Or else try and find a way out if it didn't work for you.
