"have you told him about you getting involved with the coronation?" Maria asked as you were looking at fabrics that James brought along with him.

"You mean just in the realm of design? I haven't, not yet. I'm biding my time on it. He's been in meetings, which I'm assuming is in regards to the people coming to the coronation. I'm thinking of seating arrangement issues," you mused playfully.

:hey you never know that could be what they are working on. There's a lot of people that tried to take over in his absence that will be present at the coronation and the reception afterwards," Eric said as you turned to look at him with narrowed eyes.

"i'm assuming that is what is going on since you usually are present during those meetings,"

"That was before I was put on future queen duty. Which honestly is more of a favorable thing to be doing. You can't imagine the times that I've had to try and keep myself awake. I don't know how he doesn't struggle as well,"

"maybe because he's the one that has the possibility of a fight breaking out weighing on his shoulders?" Maria asked rhetorically.

"That is definitely a valid point," Eric replied as you shook your head, turning your attention back to the fabrics. There were some that caught your eye that could be possibilities for a remodel for the inside of the palace, while others were for the wedding specifically.

You had a separate pile of fabrics that were possibilities for the wedding: your dress, fabrics for table displays and centerpieces, etc. You knew that it was going to be a small wedding with only those that were close to Paul and worked at the palace to be present. You stopped your look-through of the fabrics at that thought. Because no one that you knew from Earth would not be present at the wedding. You understood why, but that got you slightly down at that thought.

"What's up? See something that made you sick to your stomach?" Eric joked as you put the fabric down.

"No, I was just thinking about the wedding and I realized that no one that I know from Earth will be there to witness it. One of the most important days in my life and my friends won't be here,"

"Hey, I know we technically work for you. But I don't know I consider you a friend, and you said I was your friend. So I'll definitely be sitting on your side. If that makes you feel better,"

"Or you know what? Maybe you don't have to go through a traditional wedding. Because this really isn't that anyway," Maria pointed out.

"Yeah maybe instead of two columns, you just make it one grouping?" Eric suggested, making you smile.

"Honestly, I didn't even think of that. In my mind weddings always have the groom and bride side. But that is another way to do it that just might work. And here I was going to be the one to make more modern changes and here you two are suggesting things,"

"Yeah well technically we both didn't fit into the traditional ways of the times we lived in," Maria pointed out.

"Well is it kind of messed up to say that I'm glad because you guys ended up here? Or not?" you questioned slowly as you looked away from them, not expecting the response that you would receive was both of them hugging you.

"Hey, if we ended up here for just us living our lives, maybe we were meant to end up here. Fate and whatnot. Since we ended up finally seeing a time that we will finally be having a queen ruling beside our king," Maria said, happiness in her voice.

"Yeah, and an heir too. Two for one deal," Eric joked as he looked down at the fabric in your hands in a questioning way.

"What? It's an option that I was thinking about. I asked him a hypothetical about a colored gown and he said it was fine," you replied as you saw him smile as he was looking at something else in the potential dress fabric pile.
