I hurried after Calithea as she walked quickly into the house, a crying Asteria clinging tightly to her chest.
As I'm following behind her I notice that she has multiple white birthmarks on the back of her neck. I've never noticed it before because I've never seen her with her hair up.
I heard Asteria gag before Calithea was able to get her to the bathroom, but for some reason it didn't gross me out like it usually would. All I could focus on was whether or not she was okay.
I hear Calithea calming voice soothing Asteria as she emptied her stomach. I stood outside of the open bathroom door, giving them some privacy.
Once all I can hear from inside is the hushed voice of Calithea, reassuring Asteria I nudge the door open wider with the back of my hand.
"Calithea." The sight in front of me breaks my heart as I look at the sick little girl hugging her mom.
"Hi." She turns to me and gives me a tight lipped smile.
"Is she okay?" I ask as I close the door and lean against it.
She nods her head, "I think she just ate to much before playing in the pool."
I hope that's all that is is. I can't help but be worried that it is something more than that.
"You all done, baby?" Calithea asks me her in a hushed tone. Asteria nods her head and sniffles.
"Here, how about I take her while you go get changed out of your bathing suit and take a quick shower." I offer.
"Are you trying to tell me I smell?" She jokes as she helps Asteria stand up.
"I mean, you do have throw up on your shoulder and some on your chest." As I'm speaking I can't help but take in how great she looks in her black bikini.
God, the things I would do- focus Mikhail
"How rude." She scoff, but I can see a small smile.
My lips twitch but I stop myself from smiling as I reach my hand out for Asteria.
"Okay, moró, your going to go with Mikhail for a few minutes while mommy goes and gets cleaned up. Okay?"
She nods her head and blinks tiredly up at Calithea before she slips her small hand into mine.
I lead her into the kitchen, hearing Calithea walk up the stairs. Asteria holds onto my hand tightly, sniffling slightly as she walks next to me.
When we get to the kitchen I lift her up onto the counter, "you feeling okay, uno stellato." I brush her cheek with my knuckle.
"Nooo." She whines and buries her head in my chest.
"Okay." I whisper, twisting one of her crazy curls between my finger. "How about we go brush your teeth and get that bad taste out of your mouth, then we can watch a movie, I know you love watching movies. How does that sound?"
