I stare at her in utter shock.
"You want me to what?" I want to know that I heard her right.
"Teach me how to handle a gun, my love." She runs her hands slowly down my white dress shirt, and plays with the buttons while she stares up at me through her long lashes.
"Why, mio angelo." I play with one of her curls, entranced by her beauty.
(My angel)"So that I know how to protect Asteria and myself if need be."
I nod my head and take her hand in mine, leading her into the shooting range. The room is filled with all different types of guns, ranging from small hand guns to huge snipers. We use this room to train new members and to keep ourselves from getting rusty.
"This is the shooting range." I tell her as I pick up the Glock 20 I was using earlier, "this is a Glock 20 it is incredibly powerful compared to all other handguns. It is semi automatic, which means only one shot can be fired at a time. This will be the one we will use today."
She nods and dances her fingers over it as I hold it out in front of her, "let's get started."
"Eager little thing." I chuckle, "first things first let's protect your ears." I hand her a pair of noise canceling headphones and place them on top of her head of curls. Once I know they are secure I walk to the painted footprints on the floor. "These footprints are here for beginners like you. Come." I motion her towards me with my pointer and middle finger.
A slight blush paints her cheeks as she slowly walks towards me and situates her feet on the painted ones.
I hand her the gun with the safety on, and place myself behind her. I grip her hips with my hands and maneuver her into the right position.
Her body stiffens at my touch and I smile slightly at knowing the effects I have on her, "you okay, Angel?" I whisper in her ear. She gulps and nods her head.
"Always make sure your front foot is pointed at your target." I place my foot in between her legs and watch as she readjusts her front foot so it is facing the hanging target.
I wrap my arms around her and place my hands on top of hers,"Okay, now this is the safety lock." I place my pointer finger over hers and guide it onto the safety lock. I show her how to turn it off and on before I place her finger on the trigger.
"After lots and lots of practice you'll be able to shoot perfectly every time, but for now close one of your eyes to help line up your shot."
She whispers an okay under her breath and although I can't see her face, but from the way she adjusts her arm and lines the gun up with the target, I know she's done as I said.
She listens well, very well. I'll remember that.
"When your ready, take the shot." I whisper in her ear.
