10 ; normality.

chapter X.

nearly two weeks since all had been revealed to the human. nearly two weeks it had been since the human found out that his life could drastically change in a blink of an eye.

at least by now he was starting to accept that fact a little more with the help of seonghwa by his side. college also distracted him as well, so this was the first time he could say he was grateful for that.

yeosang could tell that the vampire felt awful about his decisions. he cleaned yeosang's apartment nearly everyday and always made the boy dinner. he was still just a little bit upset with seonghwa, but he could tell that he was trying.

in a way, you could say things were going back to normal, well, as normal as living with a vampire could get.

he just wished he could tell his friends though, since he told them everything, but he didn't want to put the boys at risk. however, yeosang just decided to stop thinking about the situation at all, he was supposed to be listening to a lecture after all.

seonghwa found himself back on top of the mountain. he told san that he'd lay low for a while, but he just couldn't resist coming back and asking for advice. and this time, he'd actually thought long and hard before acting.

he knocked on san's front door softly, making sure not to alert his neighbors. seonghwa heard a groan and a few shuffling noises coming from inside the house before the door flew open, reviling a half asleep san.

"who is it— hwa? what are you doing back here so soon? come in quickly."

san huffed, he shut the door behind the other vampire and guided him into the kitchen so they could sit at the bar.

well, seonghwa was sitting. san was pacing infront of the male with his face in his hands.

"well, this visit is just a pleasant thing to be awoken to, no?" he rubbed his temples.

seonghwa scoffed, "must i remind you? you are a vampire, you do not need sleep."

"i like sleep, seonghwa. now can you enlighten me as to why you are back so soon? it's still terribly—"

"dangerous. i remember what you said." seonghwa then began to rub his temples as well.

he knew that san's tone sounded a bit harsh, but it was all just tough love. he'd known the other for years, and the younger had always been like that.

"i returned because i am in need of advice from my best friend."

the younger raised his brows, signaling for the other to go on.

seonghwa gulped. "it seems as if i've grown attracted to my companion."

san furrowed his brows, "the human who accompanied you? hwa—"

"i am not here for a scolding, i said a bit of advice." he stated again, "what should i do about this? answer as a friend, not a.. protector or whatever."

san sighed. "there is no secret on how feel about this, hwa. for safety's sake you should stop seeking him—"

"it's different now, san!"

"how come?" san scoffed. "humans are seemingly just as prejudice as they were hundreds of years ago! you know the dangers that come with something like this seonghwa."

"i've thought about all of this deeply. however, yeosang and his peers are... are different." now he'd began to rub his forehead.

san sat down and stared at his friend for a few seconds. "as a friend, i wish nothing more on you than safety." he grabbed the other's hands and looked into his eyes.

"however, i think this is the happiest i've seen you in decades. i cannot judge you for perusing happiness. do not let my fears stand in the way of your decisions."

seonghwa nearly teared up after hearing his friend's thoughtful words. san had practically given him his blessing in that moment, and there was nothing in the world he could wish for more. a grin spread across his face.

"thank you, san. i promise you i will prove it. i will prove humans have drastically changed...for the better."

san weakly smiled back. "that means a lot." his smile quickly dropped. "now please get the hell out of my house."

"excuse me?!" seonghwa's jaw dropped.

the other face palmed, "i specifically told you to not visit here soon!"

"ahh," seonghwa's once offended state was replaced with laughter.

the two laughed before san led him to the door and saw him off once again.
