Third POV

A few days after the quarter finals had ended, Seirin was back out on the court once again, playing against Komada High School in a practice game. So far, they were doing rather well, that fire from their loss against Touou on top of the fact that they had just watched two miracles going head to head, was really burning brighter than ever. And it showed in their plays.

Up in the stands, two reporters from Basketball Monthly had caught wind of the game and decided to check it out, since Seirin High was one of the qualifiers for the Winter Cup.

"One of the strongest teams to compete in the Winter Cup this year is Kaijo High. They're led by team captain, Yukio Kasamatsu. Then there's their prodigal ace, Ryota Kise," the head reporter of the two recited as he leaned on the rail in front of him while his partner wrote down some more notes.

"Oh, speaking of Kaijo, they lost to another team just the other day, didn't they?" He asked as he looked up from the little notebook in his hand.

That was really some of the talk of the town because of the popularity of the two teams and the fact that both teams had amazing prodigies.

"That'd be Touou Academy, a fierce class. They have the prodigy, Daiki Aomine."

"While we're discussing prodigies, Shutoku High has one as well, don't they?"

These prodigies were the talk of all of the magazines that had to do with basketball. Now that they were all in high school, it would be such a great story to see how much they had improved, and the players who had played against them certainly knew that for a fact.

"Shintaro Midorima, a truly terrifying shooter," the head reporter stated, chills running down his arms from just the thought of that boy's three pointers.

Now, to the other journalist, those names all sounded very familiar, and he knew the name of the infamous group that those three individuals were a part of.

"They're all from the Generation of Miracles, is that correct?"

"Yeah, there're also three more miracle kids to speak of. At Akita's Yosen is Atsushi Murasakibara, Kyoto's Rakuzan has Seijuro Akashi, and finally, Seirin High School has (Y/N) Bashira. She's probably the strongest youth player in Japan right now, stronger than all of the miracles combined," the older gentleman explained as the two continued watching on.

Now surely, it would be one of the more well known teams that would win. The younger man believed that (Y/N) might've been on the bench since she was a girl, plus the fact that Seirin was still a new team, so there was no telling how good they were. Oh, but how wrong he was.

"It's not as safe as you think to assume it'll be one of those teams. Teppei Kiyoshi, he damaged his knees and couldn't participate in the Inter-High but he's a strong center. Then there's their captain, Junpei Hyuga, a clutch shooter. The Eagle Eye wielding point guard, Shun Izuki. And their new player who's gone toe to toe with the Generation of Miracles, Taiga Kagami," the older journalist explained as the whistle blew, signaling the end of the game, Seirin's victory.

As the team celebrated, the two journalists heard the black and red team's sole female player cheer with all of her might on the bench. Over the past few days, (Y/N) had healed up a tremendous amount, most of the bruising on her face was gone, leaving the cuts almost completely healed. Not only that, but she had gotten all of her stitches out. The only thing that was left was for her to wear her boot and leg brace for a little while longer.

"Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, Bashira is also a starter on Seirin High's lineup. But because of an incident she had with a former opponent, she's been benched for the time being because of her injuries. She's a strong player, but you can always tell that she holds back quite a bit against her opponents. That girl is probably the reason why the Generation of Miracles are as strong as they are. You could call her their 'mentor' of sorts. Talented in many other sports and able to incorporate that into her unique play style, one can clearly see that she lives up to her nickname, the 'Triple Threat of the Generation of Miracles'."
