Third POV
"You haven't lost that style of yours, have you, you Dancing Queen?"
Those words, the tone that he said them in, the way his facial expressions had softened up so much, it left (Y/N) absolutely speechless. She...didn't know what to think. It was like she had gone back in time, back to middle school when the times were good. She saw middle school Aomine that had been locked away, but not ever lost.
That's probably what she felt so much relief in, and it's what shocked her so much. She had always thought that the navy blue haired boy that she had first met, that had loved basketball as much as she did, was lost for good as soon as he had hit that point where he felt like he was the strongest of the strong. But now that he had just called her that, all of those doubts seemed to leave the tall girl's mind.
Still, it was enough to render her speechless. Everything around her kind of zoned out as she just sort of stood there, her eyes still kind of widened, her jaw dropped slightly. Like, the triple threat just was...in awe. It was...an amazing feeling. The (h/c) haired girl then sort of started grinning a little bit right when reality started faded back in around her.
And the reality of what she had just done, the amazing thing that she had just done. It was ready to come hit her like a wave.
"Teddy!" The tall girl heard Kiyoshi calling out her nickname, which made her begin to turn around back toward where her team was.
"Huh-WOAH!!" She let out a surprised exclamation as she felt arms wrap around her waist and her feet leave the ground.
By instinct, the triple threat wrapped her arms around the center's shoulders, feeling him spin her around a couple of times as he let out a proud chuckle. That also seemed to be when the (h/c) haired girl seemed to realize the magnitude at which the crowds were roaring with their cheers, people were getting up on their feet, pumping and throwing their fists up in the air.
"That was amazing!" Kiyoshi praised the girl as he placed her back on the ground just as the other starters rushed over to where she and the center were.
"When'd you learn how to do that!?" Hyuga gaped as he placed his hands on the triple threat's shoulders, sort of shaking her back and forth rather quickly.
The captain needed answers, what was this sorcery that she had just performed!? That was the first time he and practically everyone else in that gym had seen a player do that. Acting like she was dancing on the dance floor with a basketball in hand, it was just unheard of for the most part.
As for the girl at the center of all of this...well...she wasn't able to answer right away because her brain was not...exactly working and functioning as it properly should've.
"Wait! Wait, wait, wait, brain is not keeping up! Hold on!" (Y/N) was able to let out in a slight dizzy tone of voice as she placed her own hands on Hyuga's shoulders to get him to stop.
