Part 13

 Ever since the lycanthrope announced the betrothal , both my wolf and l have been at unease , just for some reason l was unable to think straight , emotions foreign to my body were making themselves refuge in every part of my body , but now was not the time to be weak l had already fallen weak long enough now was the time to put myself together and focus 

''Uncle the howl is a legend '' l abruptly said while trying to seek closure about this whole issue while choosing to ignore my messed up personal life 

''was my dear , as you heard the howl is real and very soon we shall witness another legendary union '' 

''we need to do something my queen all of our weak werewolves will start  dying soon,'' my beta suddenly stormed into the office voicing the obvious l had forgotten about 

''The royal mind-link will be going into a frenzy very soon with this announcement ,'' he continued 

'' what should we do , even the ceremony will not be able to save them '' 

''Tony l am here , your alpha ,'' at this point l was clearly giving vain assurance , it was clear that even l was clueless , if the mind link were to surely become irregularly active and go into a frenzy it would surely kill not only the weak rogues but everyone would surely be affected ,

 the royal mind-link was considered the gift from the moon goddess to every man shifter and as soon as you are declared rogue the royal link would automatically cutoff , the  lycanthrope would use the link  to hold secret  world meetings pass messages that would  affect the whole werewolf though it was rarely used these years due to the modernization the world was experiencing still such legend was gonna cause unrest and different emotions were gonna be put into the link to such an extent that it was gonna affect my wolves ,

''Tina l suggest you tackle this issue first ,we need to understand how we can save ourselves from the poison ''

''But uncle what do you mean poison''

''yes Ishy because we were cutoff from the royal link does not mean the  moon goddess neglected us as well hence to punish rogues the lycanthrope had performed a ceremony that whenever the royal mind-link is being used , a poison will be generated killing rogues as we pose a danger to their dealings and planning''

''wait but isn't that a bit too extreme '' ignoring the rest of their discussion l decided to excuse myself from the emergency meeting l knew no one dared following me  although l knew how much my pack needed me l still needed some solid time alone , alot of things had been happening lately since my mother's death life was moving in such a rollercoaster speed that one thing had been happening after another and every time l seem to be failing to be all of my duties 

''mate  , why are you ignoring me , l told you there are some things l can ignore and some l cannot you are busy channeling all your negative emotions to me , l swear l listened to none of your thoughts because l am a gentleman my father taught me to respect privacy ''

did the Moon Goddess give to us this mindlink as a curse or blessing right now all l was craving is some alone quiet time to re-focus and strategize 

''am sincerely worried about you , or maybe should l just invite myself into your territory ,''

''how come l never feel your emotions '' l found myself oddly saying but was it really what l wanted to say damn all this mate business is another problem l don't even know how to solve 

''am sorry that came out unpronounced '' l continued and to my surprise the link remained quiet enough  as though he was giving me leverage to continue so l did

''Rynn a lot of realistic and unrealistic things have been happening a lot lately in my life and most of the these things l don't even know how to fix them yet alone control them , maybe the so badass rogue Queen isn't bad after all , Rynn you are my mate and nothing can change that , even a rejection won't change that because you are my gift just as l am your gift from the moon goddess given the circumstances we met and the events that have been unfolding afterwards l really need sometime to sit down and think it through ''

''if its privacy you want then privacy you have '' wow was this guy for real l silently pounded on his last words as l felt the mind-link close , taking a in deep breath l closed the curtains , my room was on the last floor of the pack house so this allowed me to get a better view of the pack area and the grasslands , 

My pack just looked so beautiful from where l was standing but there was a gloomy shadow hovering above them it must have been the howl that must have triggered especially the elderly and not to mention the way l had man slaughtered that lycanthrope l could see that did not sit well with some of my pack members but what could l have done l had literally lost control 

''Albertina my precious gift why is your soul in torment , you are my number one girl , you have the most brilliant ideas l know l never said it but some of those crazy ideas used to help me a lot now just do not beat yourself up too much , give everything time and you will understand it all in the right time ''  before l could comprehend what was happening my mother's voice went silent , becoming frantic l started calling out her name throwing things around , an uncontrollable well of tears running down my eyes everything was such a mess l finally thought as l gave up to the heaviness of my eyes
