Chapter 2

The sun fought through the drawn curtains of the room. Some light managed to break in and shine right onto Johnnies sleeping body. The birds outside the window singed a lovely chirping song and the house was pleasantly smelling like freshly made waffles and bacon.

Johnny was deeply asleep on his bed. The book he read covered his face and it was clear that he had fallen asleep in the middle of reading it. Suddenly, Johnny jolted awake. He put the book aside and rubbed his eyes. He sighed and hoped on into the shower. Yes, the first thing he did was hop into the shower. His shirt was covered
In sweat from the night and the dirty shoes were somehow still on his feet.

Mrs and Mr Wilson we're downstairs. Miranda Wilson was serving the food on the table and Frank Wilson was reading a newspaper while chewing bacon and downing it all with a loud sip of coffee. Johnny came rushing down the stairs, he was smelling nicely and dressed in good, clean clothes. He grabbed a waffle from the table, mumbled good morning and was already at the door when-

"Johnny, don't you want to have breakfast?"

"Mom, i took a waffle."Johnny waved with the waffle.

"Jo-"

"John, son, have fun, but be home no later than 11 pm, got it?"

"That's right dad!"

And Johnny ran out the door, grabbed his bike and prepared his speech and how he was going to
Explain what he had in mind to Miles.

Miles was Johnny's best friend from kindergarten and he only lived a couple of houses away from John. Miles had shinny brown skin, curly black hair and emerald green eyes. Miles had a very unique beauty in him that made a lot of kids at school jealous.

Finally Johnny was knocking at Miles's door. Miles opened it with a smile and before he could greet Johnny, Johnny started to tell him all about "the house of horrors"

"So, in 1976 there was an orphanage, soon, the government no longer had money to keep the orphanage going so it was closed. The day when the kids where moved to other orphanages the public saw the kids for the first time. Their clothes were all in holes and dirty, their skin was covered in bruises like they all have been badly beaten and they looked so terrified. The carers of the children were never found, it's like they vanished and the children would not speak about their experience, no one knows why. The orphanage soon became abandoned and teens started to hang out there. Drink, smoke, play different games and other activities, you know which. But the teens stoped coming there and claimed that they would hear screams and cries for help from the top floor and writings "help" would appear on the walls. Soon the house became known as "the house of horrors of 1976" and it's only 40 minutes from this house! I was thinking we could check it out today, that would be so fun!"

"Wow, slow down dude, that seems interesting and all but we agreed on video games today, didn't we?"

"I know I know, but don't you want to do something different today?!"

"Mmm yeah I guess I do," Miles hopped on his bike, " lead the way Johnny!"
And the two cycled away.
