Chapter 10

"What the hell is going on between you two?" Questioned Miles.

"Nothing." Bluntly answered Johnny as the boys cycled home.

"Aha, don't lie to me, Johnny i don't understand! We are best friends, we were best friends since kindergarten, since the day I gave you my truck! Johnny I loved that truck!"

"I'm sorry Miles, it is complicated but I don't have feelings for Jenni." That was a lie of Johnny's, yes Miles was the person he trusted the most in his life but it did sound weird telling your best friend that you are madly in love with a thing that isn't even real.

"Than what is complicated Johnny?!"

"Me leaving school 5th period! The ritual! My relationship with my parents! Everything is complicated lately for me Miles but you never notice or ask how I'm doing even though you know me like your 5 fingers!" Said Johnny all mad.

"Oh yeah?! Everything is about you, huh? Don't you think I have a life I worry about, I too have problems you are too blind to see! You just think my life is perfect because I have good grades and girls clinging on to me at school because of my "exotic" looks! You never take me seriously and you know what?! I've been a very good best friend to you, I've agreed on everything because it was important to you! Even the haunted house thing and you keep saying I'm not a good enough friend!" Yelled Miles at Johnny as they cycled through the streets. There was no people really so it was okay, they weren't making a scene. Johnny felt offended, never in his life he saw Miles so angry. Miles cycled off in front of Johnny and when he arrived at his house didn't even say good bye. But Johnny was too angry to feel sad.

Soon he arrived at his house. He parked his bike and opened the front door.

"JOHN! IVE HAD IT WITH YOU!" Just as Johnny entered Mrs Wilson started to yell so loudly that your hair would fall off.

"John, the school called saying you LEFT during 5th period, do you realise that it is UNEXEPYTABLE! School is very important and you can't just run off in the middle of it!" Said dad, he looked disappointed.

" I am more worried about WHERE ARE YOU RUNNING OFF?! Coming back to my concern earlier, are you, my son, are you doing drugs?!"

"no, No, NO! I am not doing drugs and I ran away out of school only once in my life! Come on!"

"I don't recognise you anymore son," said Mr Wilson he looked like he has been very worried or sick, "I took your side, I let you have more freedom and you do me like this? I am very disappointed." Obviously, Johnny could tell dad was disappointed right when he walked in.

" Go to your room." Said Mrs Wilson quietly and Johnny did, he didn't even say a word. Just walked up into his room with a guilty face.

Johnny shut the door behind him. He felt like he wanted to cry but tears wouldn't come out. First he fought with his best friend and now his parents were disappointed. What else could you need? Johnny laid on the bed, took a pillow and screamed into it. Then laid to face the window as he slowly dozed off.
