His vision was blurry and he couldn't tell where he was at first. He blinked a couple of times and looked around. Johnnies memories of the past moments was coming back. He was laying right where he fell. Everything was peaceful again. Johnny suddenly remembered the ghost girl which made him shiver but he understood that it was all probably hallucinations since everything was normal right now. The open front door shined so much light inside like it hadn't had before and he heard birds chirping from outside. Johnny rubbed his head and looked up only to a disappointing sight.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"

Johnnies scream was so loud that even the birds on the dead trees outside the house quickly flew off. You see Johnny saw a face looking at him. To be clear the Ghost girl was staring at him with curiosity as Johnny understood that his head rested on her knees. Johnny quickly got up, so quick that his head began to spin and he fell back down.

"Wow! Calm down, you'll hurt yourself." Said the Ghost girl but Johnny didn't listen. He began frantically crawling towards the open front door and when he was so close to it, the door flung shut like someone had closed it. Johnny looked back at the Ghost girl. She was sitting in the same exact spot but her arm was extended as if she had closed the door without even touching it. Johnny had no where to go. He was defeated. He leaned against the closed door, only a dim light shinned through a window.

"Calmed down?" She asked.

"Let me out of here you freak!"

"I took care of your head, a person would've died from your injuries by now but you'll be fine."

Johnny didn't answer, he was still catching his breath.

"I know your terrified right now," she continued, " but I'm not going to hurt you, just talk."

"WHY?! Why do you need to talk with me? We have nothing to talk about! And.. and how is this even possible?!"

"See, you just asked a question, let it be the start of our dialogue," The Ghost girl said to Johnny complétele calm, " My names Jennifer but friends call me Jenni and to be honest I like Jenni much more than Jennifer. Im 15 but never really got to grow up." She said, her facial expression dropped.

Johnny had calmed down and only now he realised how beautiful this creature was. Her face, her eyes were green and she had the prettiest hair.

"What kind of creature are you?"Asked Johnny.

"I'm not any kind of creature," Jenni chuckled, "I'm a human just like you!"

"NO! Your not! My pepper spray went right through your body and, and I saw you levitate!"

" oh well, I guess it's better to say I was a human once, a long time ago, now I guess I'm a ghost. But I'm a good ghost, like, I don't hurt people."

"Oh, um, how did you become one?"

" I'll answer but maybe first you can introduce yourself?"

"Oh yeah, sure, um, I'm Johnny or John um I'm 16."

"John, I see." Johnny cringed at how she said his name, he was so insecure of it.

"Now to answer your question, this was an orphanage opened up in 1890, it was a pretty good orphanage until 1947 when the director changed, she was a cruel woman in her 40s and she had cruel workers here. She worked until she died at 75. She did illegal stuff, like, child labour but back then the law wasn't so strict about it, the girls would have to clean the whole orphanage and work in the fields, even in extreme heat or cold, some even died from hypothermia or overheating. Boys would have to do construction work on the orphanage whenever something would break and lots died because either they fell from roofs either while trying to fix up the orphanages things would fall and crush them to death."

"That seems grew some and just, completely horrible Jenni, I'm so sorry-"

"That's not the end, the third floor, the cursed floor, there the workers would take children who "miss behaved", to be clear misbehaving counted in as playing with friends, having fun, slacking from work, asking for more food if still hungry or staying past bedtime. Those weren't just punishments, those were torture! In that room they could starve you for days, you would sit in darkness and silence for a week, machines which would inflict pain, like sometimes children even died from the horrible horrible tortures! They used the belt basically horrific and some kids would die!"

Johnny knew where this was going, he dreaded it. He didn't want to hear Jenni say it.

"I died in 1976, a few months before the orphanage was closed down. There was this girl 6 years younger, she was nine and her name was Stacy, we had a special bond, she was like a little sister to me. Once she asked for more food because she was starving and couldn't work because she had no energy, the worker got angry and was about to put her on to the 3rd floor when I stood up and defended Stacy, defending another child was the worst act of rebelión for the workers so, they took a shot gun and, "Jenni's voice was shaky like she was about to cry, " they shot me, I died almost instantly, I succeeded though, they didn't punish Stacy, they thought seeing a fellow murdered was enough of a punishment, again, that same year the kids were saved and Stacy was one of them, I did my job."

"Oh wow, Jenni, you are very brave and I'm very sorry that you had to go through all of this."

"You shouldn't apologise and it's probably time for you to meet some people, Guys! You can come out! He knows!"

Jenni shouted and just then, out of walls, children of different ages started to emerge, they were all different ages and sizes, they flew down and stood next to Jenni. Soon there were 1, 2, 3, Johnny counted 23 Ghost kids standing in front of him and including Jenni there was 24.

"He came to save us all? Is that the one Jenni?" Spoke up the smallest one from the crowed.

"Hold your horses Reggie," Jenni softly said, " this is John!"

"Nice to meet you?" Said Johnny, very unsure.

"Well John, I'll introduce you to my friends, this is Reggie," she pointed to the smallest one, the boy who spoke up a while ago, " he is 6 and is the smallest, This is Rachel and also my best friend she is 13 and this is her twin sister Maggie," Johnny saw two girls looking exactly alike, obviously they were twins, "This is Tom, he is 10 and also the first ever boy to be murdered in this orphanage and he was in 1947 just a few months after the director change," Johnny saw a scrawny looking boy, "This is Angela and is 8." And then Jenni proceeded to name 18 other murdered Ghost kids.

After she named all she proceeded to say,
" we were all brutally murdered, so
Unfairly, we were dehumanised at the orphanage, and we haven't found our peace, we can't go of to heaven because non of us are at peace yet and we are stuck here and forever reminded of the horrific memories but-"

"But," Jenni was suddenly interrupted by Reggie, "there is a way YOU can help
Us, you can help us find out peace! Will you help us?"

"Hold up... ME?! You want me to help? No no no, guys I have my own troubles, I didn't come here for you or to help anyone, I didn't sign up for this, sorry guys, I feel bad but.. no, I can't deal with ghosts for more than a day." Said Johnny and yanked at the door and this time it opened, he walked off looking back just once when he was at the gate, he still saw the disappointed faces of the children looking at him, but it wasn't HIS job!

Johnny climbed over the fence and rode his bike home, this was enough for him for today.
