Doomsday: Part 2

"Hey Y/n." The man spoke, with a malicious grin, showing off his teeth. His dark eyes flickered to mine and immediately bore into my soul.

He was dressed in a dark, tight fit suit that was covered in brown liquid stains, which I assumed was alcohol. Curved horns sprouted from his greasy dark brown hair and wrapped around his ears.

The man walked over rocks and debris with such ease as he made his way towards me.

I gulped as he stood over me and casted a dark shadow upon me and Apollo.

The man let out a low chuckle as he reached over me and gripped the handle of the knife that stuck out of Apollo's side.

The dagger made a noise that should never be heard as it was pulled from the still cooling body.

"I'll be taking this back, darling." He said with a merciless grin, "Such a shame he got in the way."

Blood dripped from the blade and ran down the man's arm; staining is sleeves.

He wiped the blood onto his already stained cuffed sleeves and tucked it into his waistband of his slacks. He then held out a bloodstained hand,

"The names' Schlatt."

Earlier...

"Quackity!" Dream lunged at the male. In Quackity's grasp was a crossbow that was aimed straight at Y/n.

The girl was on her knees, and she was so exhausted that she couldn't move, the shot would kill her.

Quackity's finger hovered over the trigger waiting a second longer to focus his shot. But he was a second too late.

Dream pinned the man down, but the crossbow was lodged under his stomach, arrow already piercing his skin and drawing blood.

"Get up." Quackity spat at Dream's mask. Dream reluctantly stood up and held his hands in front of him.

"Revive Schlatt." Quackity barked.

Dream scoffed, "What are you-"

Quackity pointed it in the direction of Y/n. "I know you have the book. I'll kill her."

Dream did what he was forced to do.

But he wouldn't realize the impact it would create on Y/n til it already effected her.

~Y/n's POV~

Present...

The voices screamed.

They masked all my senses and all I could hear was the deafening screeches and blood-curdling screams, that exploded in my ears.

I covered my ears trying to block them out, but they were too loud and I couldn't take it.

I tried to scream, to get anyone's attention, but my pleas were lost among the voices.

Covering my ears was pointless, I began to tug on my hair to make me feel something other than the thunderous shrieking that burned my ears.

And then it came to an end. The deafening screeches fell silent, and I was left with my ears ringing.

I opened my eyes to be met with Schlatt's erratic and crazed ones. I was curled into a fetal position on the dirt, still hearing... nothingness.

He loomed over me and reached a hand to my shaking body. He brushed one of my
h/c strands away from my swollen, tear-stained face.

His voice was louder than ever as he caressed my jaw, "Darling, I can't wait to see what two minutes will do to you."
