A lil bit of fluff and a lil bit of angst. But mostly fluff; perfect if you ask me.
-[Three Months Later]-

And the arrows flew.
One arrow landed deep into the soil, the other embedded into a shoulder.
Deep into a shoulder.
It all happened so fast, Y/n couldn't comprehend anything. Her heart raced as she saw one on land, and one in water.
Cheering was heard, but it didn't come from her side of the path. It came from the L'Manburgian side. The loudest cheer came from none other than Tommy.
That must mean...
They had lost.
Dream laid facedown in the icy water. The
frigid water seeped into his wound, causing horrific stinging. But Dream remained motionless as his blood turned the water red.—
"Y/n."
The girl woke up in the warm arms of Clay. Y/n felt tears running down her own cheeks as she snuggled closer to Clay.
"What's wrong?" Clay whispered into her hair.
"I lost you." Y/n breathed into Clay's T-shirt.
Clay hugged her tighter, rubbing a hand up and down her back. He didn't know the full story about her nightmare, but he had known that these nightmares were about her time in the coma.
And they were getting more frequent as the weeks passed on.
Y/n's physical therapy appointments had been going better than expected, and she made a nearly full recovery. And Clay, Nick and George never left her side.
As Y/n's tears dried and Clay finished whispering sweet nothings into her hair, Clay had an idea, "What if we did out date today?"
"A date?" Y/n muffled into his chest. Clay turned pink, "Uh, yeah..?"
Y/n turned her head to look up into Clay's eyes and placed a small peck on the corner of his mouth.
Clay rolled his eyes, "is that a yes? And you missed dummy." Clay leaned down to rewrite the wrong.
Y/n giggled, knowing it would upset him, but she pushed him away before he could kiss her back.
Clay pouted, "did you just deny my kiss?"
Y/n was too busy trying to snuggle farther into the sheets to reply.
Clay let out a breathy laugh, before picking Y/n up, sheets and all.
Y/n gave up as she found her self tangled, blind and in the sturdy arms of Clay.
Clay walked down the stairs with his bundle and plopped it on the couch next to Nick, before walking into the kitchen to find some breakfast, "She's yours now."
A muffled complaint was heard from the pile of white sheets.
Nick sprawled out on top of the poor girl, "Where did you get this pillow Clay?"
Y/n whimpered under the sheets, "You suck."
The day moved rather quick, and Y/n was growing more anxious about her date with Clay.
Clay was feeling exactly the same, if not more anxious. He stood in front of the mirror as self-degrading thoughts drowned him.
'She's only being polite.'
'She wished you didn't ask her.'
'She hates you.'
Clay let out a deep breath as he ran a shaky hand through his hair, somewhat fixing it.
"No, she loves me." Clay said to his mirror-self, which stared back at him.
Clay shook his head and turned on the shower.
"Guys how does this look?" Y/n did a small spin in her outfit. It wasn't too fancy but not too casual.
"You look hot." Nick smirked then both him and Y/n burst out laughing.
George shook his head trying not to laugh, "It's perfect, I'm going to go check on Clay."
"Thanks guys," Y/n said in between laughs, "I appreciate it."
George knocked on Clay's door and entered. He saw Clay hurriedly stand up and wipe his eyes on his sleeve.
His emerald eyes were red and puffy, which made George's lips melt into a sympathetic frown.
George wrapped his arms around the taller. "They're back, aren't they?"
Clay tried to hold in a sob, but a soft whimper escaped. George hugged him tighter and walked him over to the edge of the bed and sat down.
Clay told George about his unwelcome thoughts when they first started, but they gradually went away.
"She loves you, don't forget it." George affirmed. "Let's get you ready." as George started picking through Clay's closet.
Clay's deprecating thoughts vanished as he watched Y/n descend the stairs, she was beautiful. From her hair down to her shoes, she looked perfect.
Clay stood to meet her, "You look beautiful," and Y/n said back, "You're pretty cute too."
Both blushed, whilst George and Nick giggled at their interaction.
Dinner was quite fun, Y/n got to pick her favorite restaurant and ordered (favorite food dish).
They laughed and talked all night, and a few flirts were tossed between the two.
Ice cream came, and they thought that it would be better to just buy it and some toppings as well. So they did.
Y/n picked out a tub of (favorite ice cream). And Dream picked out Cookie Dough. Classic.
Well, what actually happened was that George texted Y/n and said they forgot Ice cream for Clay's surprise birthday.
So Y/n had to improvise.
They arrived at the house, ice cream in hand.
"Happy Birthday!" George and Nick screamed and jumped out from behind the kitchen island.
Green balloons and paper streamers were everywhere. They were hanging from lights and draped across cupboards.
Clay took a surprised step backwards. But immediately a grin lit up his face. "Happy birthday," Y/n whispered and kissed his cheek.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DREAM!! WOOO! OUR MAN IS 23!!
