Oof heavy chapter guys... sowwyTW: suicide
Life has been hard. Clay, George and Nick are struggling, but someone is spiraling.
Alec has fallen.
Alec was crushed at the news of Y/n.
More than crushed, devastated, shattered, destroyed beyond repair.
She was his only friend, all the other people he knew before abandoned him.
He was the social reject.
The outcast
The damaged one
He got bullied a lot in school for not having parents. Everyone thought it was funny that he had to live at his drunk uncle's house until he was old enough to move out.
Which is where he is now, a new house.
A new beginning, all away from his old haunting life. Even a new friend.
His parents died in a car accident. Alec was also in the vehicle when the car went over the railing, tumbling into the cold, dark, endless ocean.
Alec doesn't remember much, he was seven at the time. But he does remember the look of peace in his parents eyes as he was able to escape from the submerged vehicle.
He has a lot of questions, but knows that there are no answers.
Why didn't he help his parents?
Why did his parents accept death?
Why was he the only one who survived?
Alec was currently sitting on the bathroom floor, next to the toilet, throwing up his last meal.
His anxiety, stress and worry was not complying with his newly developed eating disorder.
His throat burned due to the acid going through and out his mouth. Water poured out his eyes and down his cheeks.
But he couldn't do anything, he was hopeless.
It hurt.
Time and time again.
Every friend that left him, every friend that used him.
It was all catching up.
And it was killing him.
Slowly.
Alec knew that one day he would break, one day he would end it all. And this was his breaking point.
Alec laid back against the wall, facing the toilet. Salty tears still streaming heavily down his red face.
This was it; he just simply couldn't take it anymore.
Then his phone began to ring.
Alec's shaky hands reached for his phone and clicked 'answer.'
Still with his shaky hands, he slowly lifted the metal rectangle to his ear, "Hello?" He asked unsurely.
"Alec, are you okay?"
It was Clay, one of Y/n's best friends.
Alec met him once, but not much was said between the two.
"n-no,"
Alec said truthfully.
Clay was concerned, he'd never heard someone so broken... besides himself.
"Alec, what are you doing?" Clay said, trying to get something out of him.
"I'm ending it."
Clay froze, he wasn't expecting that. Clay didn't realize how hard it hit Alec.
Clay didn't understand the bond between Y/n and Alec that was formed in just a day.
"Alec, listen to me, put what ever you have in your hand down. Alec, what's you address."
Alec slurred out his address, but Clay was able to understand what he said. Alec continued to stare at the bottle of pills in his hand, but he never put them down.
Clay, Nick and George were currently at the store, buying late night snacks. And he had an urge to call Alec.
Clay received Alec's contact at the hospital and kept it in his phone in case something happened.
Clay walked down a separate aisle than the others and dialed Alec's number.
"Stay on the phone with me, I'm coming over."
Alec leaned his head on the wall and stared up at the quite boring ceiling. His hand refusing to let go of the now open orange bottle.
"Guys we need to go!" Alec barely heard what Clay yelled on the other side of the phone.
The boys didn't question why they had to leave the store without buying anything. Nick was a little upset, but he knew it was a good reason; due to the look of worry on Clay's face.
The trio jumped into the car. Nick in the drivers seat and Clay in the passengers and George in the back. Clay was trying to make Alec get rid of the bottle of medication.
Then Alec stopped responding altogether.
Panic filled the car, "Alec! Alec answer me! Can you here me?"
It was too late. They all knew it. Nick and George had locked eye contact for a split second, making a silent agreement, before Nick turned back to the road.
George slowly grabbed and ripped the phone out of Clay's sweaty hands.
Clay made no effort to stop George from ending the call.
Clay failed. He failed Y/n.
He failed Alec.
The three pulled up to Alec's driveway, Clay jumped out before Nick was able to shift the car into park.
Clay felt numb, just as he did when Y/n...
Never mind.
The door was unlocked, and Clay through the house with the other two right behind him.
Clay eventually found himself and his two best friends, in front of a body.
A breathing body.
Clay quickly kneeled in front of Alec. His breathing was shallow, and his head was lolled to the side.
Clay grabbed Alec's shoulders and shook him.
"How many did you take?!"
Clay knew he wouldn't get a response from him.
The two spectators stood motionless, looking at the mess before them.
The sink was slowly overflowing, and the pills were scattered all over the floor, the orange bottle laid empty.
The scent of puke was evident in the air.
And in the middle was Alec, with a puke and tear stained sweater. Clay was holding him, crying.
Clay was mumbling, "please, please, please,"
Trying so hard to save him. He couldn't lose anyone else.
Then the motionless Alec began to cough.
I totally rushed this. I just felt like I had to Alec to the plot.
If your every feeling like this please talk to someone.I hope you all have a great day! Love you all and you all mean so much to me. Thanks guys
