The solar eclipse. It only occurred once every one hundred years. And everyone in the village feared it.
It was when the known world was cast in eternal darkness and all sorts of unspeakable evils could crawl out from the depths of Hell to tear the world apart.
Technoblade did not believe a word of the legends.
Tommy believed his oldest brother. Techno was strong and smart, he'd be a fool to disagree.
And Wilbur, Wilbur heeded the warnings. He wasn't risking a single thing.
He had a younger brother to help take care of, and a beautiful girlfriend. He wasn't losing anything.
The three brothers made their way out of the church, the sermon having just ended.
"Techno, can I go hang out with Tubbo," Tommy begged.
"No. You need to go with Wilbur," the older responded.
His annoyance was obvious. Tommy was always asking to go hang out with his friend. It was quite a problem, almost like an addiction.
"Wilbyyy, can you take me to see Tubbo?"
"No, you heard Techno. Plus, you should probably clean your room."
Tom scoffed and started walking the direction their home was in.
"Why do you want him to stay with me," Wilbur asked.
"I promised Niki I'd help re dye her hair. I could you a bit of a touch up as well."
He started gesturing to his braid. The pink was beginning to fade, and Wilbur understood. Techno hated the way he looked. He was the spitting image of the father who abandoned the three brothers years ago.
So the oldest dyed his hair pink. It was a way to disassociate himself from his father. Wilbur understood perfectly.
"Just make sure you aren't out during the eclipse. You heard Father Sam, it's-"
"It's pure evil and is happening in a few hours. Yeah, it's dumb. But I'll stay inside with Niki and humor you."
"Thank you," Wilbur sighed.
He began to follow Tommy towards their home, while Technoblade went towards Niki's.
