"Wake up Wilby," a familiar voice said.
"Why," Wilbur groaned.
"We have things to do. And weren't you going to try and see your brothers?"
"Oh yeah," Wilbur said, sitting up.
"Should've listened."
"I'm sorry princess."
Wilbur's eyes fluttered open, and he sat up in bed. He tried to stand up, but collapsed to the floor. He had enough air, why couldn't he move right?
"Fuck. TECHNOBLADE," Wilbur screamed.
No response.
"TECHNO!! TOMMY!! I NEED HELP!!"
The door began to open, and Wilbur's head snapped towards it. Hopefully one of his brothers was here and able to help him back into bed.
"What do you need dearest," a voice said.
Wilbur panicked, and began to try and pull himself away from the door.
"Don't strain yourself, you're already hurt."
The door opened, revealing Sally. Sally! But she had died, how was she standing here?!
"Wilby, you need to take things slower. Your blood still needs to fully re-oxidize. You're not strong enough to move around yet!"
"What are you?"
"Hm?"
"What are you?! Who are you," Wilbur shouted.
This was not Sally. She had died right in front of him yesterday.
"Maybe it's a good thing Technoblade had me come over. You really are acting strange," the Sally look alike said.
She walked over to Wilbur and gently picked him up, with one arm around his waist and the other draping one of his arms over her shoulder.
"Why did you try and get out of bed? I thought you were smarter than that."
"Who are you," Wilbur repeated, more stern this time.
"Knock knock," Sally asked.
"No. No games or riddles or shit, just tell me who you are!"
"Knock knock."
"Fine. Who's there?"
"Me," Jschlatt's voice said.
Wilbur shrieked and tried to push away the demon that looked like his deceased girlfriend.
"I wouldn't shout loverboy, your brothers are outside."
In all honesty, it was scarring on an emotional level to hear the devil's voice coming from Sally's mouth.
He had loved her with all her heart, and now a soulless monster was using her corpse like a puppet.
Wilbur kept trying to push the devil away, and Sally's face melted away to show the hellish creature that was beneath.
"You'd better quit it or I'll kill your younger brother for fun," Jschlatt said menacingly.
Wilbur proceeded to go limp in his arms, and the demon chuckled. He pulled Wilbur closer, ignoring the disgust and fear on Wilbur's face.
"Ya know Wilby, I think I could get used to this."
"Don't call me that," Wilbur said softly.
"Why not? Last time I checked, I'm a celestial being, you're just a mortal."
Wilbur didn't respond.
Jschlatt chuckled, gently shaking the man he held close. He began to pet Wilbur's head, when the human got a sense of deja vu.
"Were you the one messing with my hair last night?"
"Possibly."
The door flew open, revealing an excited Tommy, and Wilbur fell to the bed. He had been leaning on Jschlatt, but the demon disappeared into thin air.
"Wilby, look! Techno said these would make you feel better, so I prepared them myself!"
Tommy held up two peeled potatoes that were still raw.
"Where did you get them," Wilbur asked, plastering on a fake smile.
He didn't want to worry his brother, and Tommy had done this for him. The least he could do was smile, even if he was still terrified that the devil himself had been hugging him close moments before.
"From Techno's garden! He helped me pick the biggest and bestest ones!"
He pushed them into Wilbur's hands, and waltzed off. Wilbur looked at the potatoes and sighed.
They reminded him of his brothers, in an odd way.
Small, helpless, and unaware of what was truly going on. And Wilbur wanted to keep his brothers unaware.
And he also wanted to keep them alive.
So if he needed to be the devil's plaything to do that, gods damn it he would.
