Wilbur and Ranboo parted ways in an effort to cover more ground, much to Ranboo's dismay. But if it helped him find Tommy sooner, then what was the harm?
Ranboo went in the woods, and navigated through them like he had been there before. He tried to listen for footsteps or crying, but couldn't hear anything other than himself.
Wilbur wasn't exactly sure where he was. He was able to avoid trees with ease, but he kept tripping and stumbling on loose branches and exposed roots. He had gotten redirected multiple times, but he wasn't going to stop. Not until they found his brother.
Tommy had bolted straight through the forest. He had a plan. He was going to get Tubbo, bring him to Niki's house, and the three of them would have one big sleepover until everything got better.
Sadly, reality hardly ever had a happy ending.
He heard a terrifying chuckle, that soon advanced into a dark laughter. The boy stopped, recognizing it from the start of the book.
It was the devil himself.
"Hey kid~" he heard the demon call. "Why don't you you come with me? We can bring Tubbo, Niki, Wilbur, everyone you want."
"Where would we go," Tommy asked loudly. "To Hell?! Well fuck you!"
"Listen here kid," a voice from behind him demanded.
Tommy whipped around and came face to face with Jschlatt, and fell flat on his ass from surprise and terror. He wanted to back away, but was paralyzed from fear.
Tommy couldn't do anything but stare, but what was behind Jschlatt sure as hell didn't look like the woods. It was a brick wall, clean and bright like a magical fairytale castle. But there was a stained glass window of a devilish creature holding a person's head.
Now that he was really paying attention, the ground beneath him felt too flat to be in the middle of the woods.
"You're going to stay here with me until I can find your brother," Jschlatt told him.
"Where are we?! What do you want with Wilbur?!"
"We're in my castle in Hell, and what I want is to get my disciple back."
"Why do you need me here?!"
"I'll be keeping you safe for now," Jschlatt replied. "Pays to worship someone who responds, eh?"
Tommy just sat there, on the floor, petrified. Jschlatt sighed, and offered the small boy a hand.
"Come with me kid, I'll show you your new room."
Tommy looked at the monstrous hand, and hesitantly grabbed it. If the demon wanted to kill him, he would have done it already. Right?
Jschlatt pulled him up, and ended up pulling him right off the ground, holding Tommy in the air by his arm.
"Wow, you weigh basically nothing," the devil admired. "You're like... a small thing. Just... wow."
"I'm not small," Tommy argued. "I'm a big man! I'm just not as big as you yet!"
"Yet? Kid, slow down, that's a bit much."
Jschlatt put him back on the ground and began to lead him towards his new bedroom, with Tommy grumbling the whole way about how he wasn't that small at all.
When they reached the bedroom, Jschlatt pushed open the door, and Tommy stared in awe and wonder.
The gold, white, and bright red colors complimented each other quite well, and there were expensive toys and games littered everywhere. Tommy took one look at the large bed and practically dove on, and admired how soft and squishy all the blankets and pillows were.
"Wow, this is so cool! Thank you!"
"Anytime kid," Jschlatt replied. "I'm gonna have someone check on you daily, and just try to stay out of trouble."
And with that, the devil walked off, leaving Tommy to admire the room gifted to him by the creature he was raised to despise.
Tommy looked and saw that he also had a balcony off the side of his new room, as well as a couple of other doors that he wasn't sure about. He took one look at the double doors made of glass, and went to stand on the balcony.
Jschlatt only said to stay out of trouble, so this was fine, right?
The boy took one step outside, and noticed a durastic change in temperature. Everything was much warmer, but in a comfortable way.
There were oceans of both magma and water with people chained up and drowning. Other demons were living in town-like areas, with a large 'city' on the horizon. The sky was dark and full of stars, and yet there was a bright shining sun brightening up the land beneath. And the lack of clouds made it all the more breath taking.
Tommy, even though watching people drown and burn and hearing their tortured screams, was not frightened. Rather, he felt at peace.
He wasn't sure why. He knew this was all wrong, and he shouldn't feel that way, and yet... he just did.
And maybe there wasn't anything wrong with that.
A/n: I AM ALIVE (immortalized)!! I guess the people calling me like a cat knew what they were doing.
