Sinead

Two weeks later
——————-

"Okay, I believe I have everything." I said as I grabbed my bag. After running around like a chicken with its head cut off all morning, I'm finally ready to hit the road. Today is easter and I'm going back to the city to spend it with family.

I'm so excited because I haven't seen my dad in two whole weeks and I've missed him like crazy. I'm also nervous because I'm gonna see the friend group. I haven't talk to them since I sent that text. Nobody's reached out, not even Carter.

The only person who I talk to is Jesse and we talk every single day. I love him for that. In Napa, I've been making friends with the women who introduced themselves to me. I'm becoming closer with the younger moms, only because they're a little more relatable but I love them all.

"You heading out?!" Diana yelled from her porch as I stepped out.

"Yeah!"

"Have a safe drive mama!"

"Thank youu!"

I locked the door then jumped in my car. Time to hit the road. The girls here invited me to their easter egg hunt and I really wanted to attend but my dad would kill me if I didn't come to their cookout.

So I just promised them that I'd come to their mother's day brunch and their 4th of July cookout.

I just love how they welcomed me with open arms and good energy. Especially with what I was going through, they've given me so much good advice and love.

Its helped become the happy girl I am right now. I'm not completely healed from the break up but I'm happy. Hopefully nothing ruins that for me today.

"Sunny pooh!" Kai yelled as I walked into the backyard. He ran to me and I picked him up.

"Oh I've missed you!" I smiled then kissed his cheeks.

"I miss you more, don't go far again." He pouted.

"I won't."

I put him down then greeted Rena and my dad with hugs. I was the first one here, thank god. I sat at the table and started to help Rena fill eggs.

"So how's Napa?" Rena asked. I sighed slightly then smiled.

"I love it, I really do... I actually wanted to ask you guys if I could take over the house permanently?" I replied and her eyes widened.

"You serious?" She asked.

I nod, "I feel as though it's the best place for me without going all the way back to Ireland."

"Give me a second." She said and I nodded. She got up and went into the house. I can see her talking to my father the glass door.

If they don't want me taking over the house, I feel like I may go to San Diego or a city along the beach. I'm not gonna bring that up though because then they'll feel obligated to leave me the house.

The glass door opened and they stepped out. "What's up?" I asked.

"Well you blew our plan so happy early birthday." My dad said handing me an envelope.

I grabbed then opened it. I pulled out a set of keys and a sheet of paper. The paper read, "To our amazing daughter and our amazing mother to be, we hope you and your angels enjoy your Napa home."

I looked up at them and my eyes got all teary. They really love me. "I love you guys so much." I cried as I stood up.

We hugged and they kissed my cheeks. I cried silently. Who would've known that breaking up with Julian would be the best thing for me? I would've dumped his ass years ago. I'm just kidding.
