Joanie

"Mommy come on! Grammy is gonna wait much longer!" Julianna exclaimed from the bottom of the stairs. I chuckle to myself as I zip up our bag.

Today Jules and I are going to Napa to my mother's house. I have to share the big news with her. I'm so excited.

Julian would be with me but he's on a business trip in San Diego for the day. It's fine, he'll see my mom at the mother's day brunch.

After grabbing my things, I walked downstairs. Julie was waiting at the bottom, arms crossed and everything. This girl is something else.

"You ready rockstar?" I asked and she nodded excitedly. I grabbed her hand and we head out.

"Oh my god her car is here!" Julianna exclaimed as we pulled into the neighborhood.

"Well of course, where would grammy be?" I chuckled.

"No, not Grammy! Sunny! My orange friend who lives across the street!"

I pull into my mom's driveway and get out. After I get Julianna out, I looked across the street. There was a one story house that I remember Miss Rena staying in from time to time, I didn't know someone was living there.

We walk onto the porch where my mom was sitting. Julianna was already on her lap going on and on about how excited she was that her friend was home.

I want to meet this friend she keeps talking about. It better not be a little boy. Grey is enough.

"Hello my love." My mom smiled as I sat in the chair next to her.

"Hi momma."

"What brings you two here?"

"I wanted to give you a hospital update."

"What's going on?"

"I'm 12 weeks pregnant."

Her eyes grew wide and she smiled. My mom loves being a grandmother, her grandkids are her whole life.

I'm so lucky I have a mom who's supporting me and my kids. At least Julianna has one grandparent.

"It's Julian's?" She asked and I nod.

"Does he know? How'd he take it?"

"Yes he knows and he's very excited."

"I'm happy, does his parents know?"

"No."

She sighed and I leaned back in the chair. They just found out about Julianna on Sunday, I can't push another baby on them. They see me as some kind of home wrecker.

I feel as though that isn't fair because I didn't know that Julian was dating Sinead until after I found out I was pregnant. He told me he was breaking it off with her, but I found out that was a lie in December when he took a trip to Ireland. I was too in love to leave.

I knew about her the whole time, and she had no idea about me. She still has no idea about me.

"I want to have a sit down with Julian's parents."

"For what?"

"The sake of your family."

"I don't think-"

"I said so and my way goes, period."

I sigh and just nod. That means I'll officially have to air out everything and honestly, I don't know if my parents will look at me the same. All I know is that no matter how this meeting will go, I'm not leaving Julian.
